Stars of SNL Shine Brightly in Snoqualmie
by ConcertGoer1967 on 2/24/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - SnoqualmieI saw "Joe Piscopo and the Stars of SNL" at Snoqualmie Casino a few nights ago. What I expected to see when I entered was a traditional setting for comedy-- a bare microphone stand at center stage. What was there instead was the setting for a 15-piece band. Different, but we rolled with it... It was more of a nightclub act starring Joe Piscopo with comedy appearances by Victoria Jackson and, of course, Fr. Guido Sarducci, played by Don Novello. Joe did lots of musical impersonations and covered lots of Frank Sinatra tunes. I guess I never realized Joe was a musician. He is an excellent drummer and has quite a voice. My favorite part was the Father Guido Sarducci comedy. Joe and Victoria were funny too. Victoria seemed a little less polished--perhaps that was part of her routine though. That was always part of her character on SNL. Not exactly what I had expected, but pleasantly surprised with the results.
