It's fun to make fun of people, and comedians have made a pretty nice living doing so for a few centuries now. But the Late Night host prefers a different game entirely: Jimmy Fallon celebrates pop culture and all its personalities, taking pleasure in their eccentricities where others might tear them down for quick giggle. The resulting softer-yet-still-edgy approach has brought a new order to the world of late night, leading the baby-faced wonder to the Tonight Show chair once occupied by Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, and Jay Leno. Now he has set about changing the comedy tour game too by among other things, extending his coattails. At his concert shows, ticket buyers can expect a raft of up-and-coming comedians cut from a similar cloth opening for the well-mannered former SNLer.
While Fallon first gained renown for his impressions (his Mick Jagger is every bit as sharp as his Jerry Seinfeld), it was the New York native's fortuitous discovery of the guitar at age 14 that has lead him to make his biggest mark in comedy. As a musical comedian, Fallon has few peers outside of perhaps Adam Sandler, who he impersonated at his original Saturday Night Live audition in 1998. Anyone who has seen Fallon performing the history of hip hop with frequent collaborator Justin Timberlake, or playing the latest hits with house band The Roots on instruments that belong in a preschool, knows that this is a comedian who has a rock star's knack for bringing it most when the lights are hottest.
All four of the comedians were hysterical and made for a really fun night. Jimmy was a great MC for them and it was cool that he still did a lot in the beginning, in between, and at the end. Awesome event
Jimmy Fallon was just as great in person as he is on his show. It was like we were just hanging out and he made us laugh so much. All of the comedians on his tour were great too and we had a great Friday night in Denver!
The Jimmy Fallon Clean Cut Tour is the best comedy show I have ever seen! The event was a fabulous family night for us. It isn't easy finding something that 2 20somethings and their parents all enjoy! Our cheeks hurt from laughing so hard!
Very funny! I very much enjoyed Jimmy Fallon's comedy as well as most of the other acts. Highly recommend seeing this show.
My wife and I laughed constantly for two hours. All the performers were very funny. Had a fantastic evening.
It was a really funny show! I laughed so hard and I really enjoyed that there are still comedians that can be funny without having to resort to bad language or overt sexual tones or demeaning others to be funny. I enjoyed all the performers, although I wished Jimmy could have performed more. He opened and came on between the 3 or 4 performers, but personally I paid to see Jimmy Fallon rather than the other unknown guys.
All comedians were funny and we LOVED that is was 99% clean, good humor.
Jimmy was who we know: SO funny, thank you notes guy, interactive with audience, musician, and more. The stand up comics he brought along are talented, hilariously funny youngish entertainers who understand and perform intelligent humor. They totally entertained from beginning to end! Near the end, Jimmy said "Go ahead, take my picture". This seemed to panic the Buell Theatre ushers who spread around trying to stop it! That was funny too.
Jimmy is the best. He brought his close funny friends to the show all leaving a great funny impression! 5 comics from people that have been on his show before. Never was bored on loved every minute!
Excellent night of comedy! Would highly recommend to friends and family!
