About

Jill Andrews on Tour

Jill Andrews began her acclaimed singer/songwriter career as the co-front person of the popular Americana/alt-country group the everybodyfields from 2004-2009. In 2009, she left the everybodyfields to focus on her solo career and released the self-titled EP Jill Andrews that year.

She then released The Mirror in 2011, an album she describes in a Kickstarter fundraising story as being "a collection of songs with love, pain, and so much hope so that you can feel the cool wind rustling the trees and the sun peeking out through the clouds."

Drawing on lessons learned, new beginnings and broken hearts, Andrews released her third full-length solo album Thirties in 2020. On this critically acclaimed LP, she explores the experience of being in a "grown-up" decade while reconciling the mistakes of recent youth. Her 2022 EP, The Parthenon Sessions, was recorded live at The Parthenon Museum in Nashville.

Her music has been highlighted on several popular shows, including "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Good Wife."  In 2021, "Only Love Can Break Your Heart," a heart-melting rendition of the Neil Young song Andrews did with Kevin Rhodes and released on her EP Ellen, was featured as a closing song on one of the final episodes of the NBC hit series "This is Us."

In her emotionally moving and sweetly relatable live performances, she has crowds tapping their toes one minute and dabbing their eyes the next. Her songwriting is known for intimately acknowledging what's often left unsaid in life.

    Fantastic Concert

by Jeff...which is also my normal name on 10/12/22The Southern Cafe & Music Hall - Charlottesville

Clem Snide and Jill Andrews were both fantastic--one of the best shows I've ever seen. Also, the staff, all good people, friendly and kind. Each artist brought humor and stillness in nearly equal measure. And I learned about the Whizanator (sp).
