great
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
I was pleasantly surprised that it was so good this year. Last year I did not think I would return because there was very little reggae music. I have been coming for many years. I came when they had free concerts and good headliners.

Etana
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
Etana- Fantastic booking. UCLA was so lucky to have her. And the venue was perfect. I say they need more Reggae in the JazzReggae line up. 5 stars for booking Etana. 4 stars for not enough Reggae roots!

Such a great experience watching Daniel Caesar!!
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
I heard about the event from a friend and was excited because the price was very reasonable. The location and vibes were great. I arrived about an hour before Daniel Caesar and the performer before him was SO good. I had a great time. I hope to come back next year for the whole event!

Chill day!
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
The students who put on this event are working really hard to bring it back to its roots. I've been going to the reggae fest for at least 7 years. The first 3/4 years we're absolutely amazing. They had very good reggae artists, an abundance of different types of food, and many different pop-up shops. They strayed away from this for a year and it was not good but now they are coming back to their roots and continuing with the tradition of reggae and jazz artists, live art, and delicious food!

Much Better than the tennis Courts - Good Day
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
It was a beautiful day in the sun and so happy that the venue was back to picnic style in the grass, but still we were nostalgic for the old stomping grounds where the festival had been held all the years before. The music was great, but they needed more food trucks available for the amount of people that were there. To only have 4 options and not let people bring their own food was rather disappointing. We did however still enjoy our day in the sun with the good music.

What happened to JRF
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
This USED TO BE an awesome event. The line-up of artists, food, fun, etc. This year, the line-up of artists was ehhhh. There were four food vendors (one Jamaican, one Southern, one fish/shrimp, and a lemonade/drink vendor) -- that is is.....wth. The space was smaller. The one headliner was Barrington Levy --- Others were kinda B-grade/C-grade artists. We had about 3/4 craft type vendors. I mean, come-on now. The planning committee have to step this back up. In comparison to what this used to be, this was kind of lame. Sorry -- I might be judging this harshly because I have been going to JRF for years..........

Mislead
Sunset Recreation Center - Los Angeles
The photographs posted on the website from previous years show many vendors of both food and goods. However, this year there was 3 food vendors and about 4 selling jewelry, clothes, etc. Also, the parking fee was higher than the website posted. I feel I was mislead.
