About

An Evening with Jason Alexander and His Hair is a comedy variety show that features stand-up comedy, music, improvisation and audience participation. Alexander portrayed the much-loved character George Costanza from the hit show Seinfeld, universally and ironically referred to as "the show about nothing," a series whose popularity has had an endless reign. Beyond Seinfeld, Alexander's diverse career encompasses art forms from Broadway's live stage to comedy, film, television and directing.

    Phenomenal!

    by MaryLou on 11/5/23

The Night of Lite Laughter at The Bushnell in Hartford was amazing!!! Jason Alexander was so funny, talented and compassionate! He sang, answered the audience’s questions, and even brought a couple on stage to give them marital advice- funny!!! What a wonderful evening of lite laughter!

Fantastic Performance - Nite of Lite Laughter

    by Wolf on 11/3/23

Saw Jason Alexander tonight at the Bushnell for Nite of light laughter with my wife and he was absolutely fantastic! He is not a comedian. He is an actor and performer, who happens to be funny! His performance was captivating, engaging, and I absolutely loved the creative way he set up his performance. He made it fully entertaining. Worth every penny.

    Jason Alexander venue was terrible

by Patteef333 on 10/5/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I recently attended the westbury music fair (or the NYCB theater )to see Jason Alexander...I thought he was fabulous...what I didn't like was the fact that he started late and ended over a half hour early...the amount of alcohol people drank was disgusting...only made them quite rude and obnoxious , not only to the people around them but to Jason as well. A drunk man tried to climb onto the stage...people were constantly talking loud and we're leaving the theater...quite frankly I feel a refund should be given as I was not provided the full show that I paid for. I would see Jason again but not at this venue

    Jason rocked it!

by SouthShoreChick on 10/1/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

This one man show was really enjoyable. Jason Alexander did it all...music, dance and comedy. At one point he had seven audience members on stage, for a very funny number. It was all good, clean, fun. The musicians were excellent. Note: not a long show, no opening act, no intermission; from start to finish @ one hour and twenty minutes. I'd highly recommend the show; would go again.

    Jason Alexander was a bust

by Zedx on 9/30/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I had such high hopes to see Jason Alexander (George Costanza) in action. Unfortunately myself, wife, and work buddies were tremendously disappointed. The show stated that it was a musical comedy, nothing about the show was funny at all. It was just a show about someone who wanted to be on Broadway and sang songs from musicals. We stayed till the end hoping for the best, but numerous ticket holders left the venue mid show because they expected some sort of comedy. Most of us expected some sort of relation to the show Seinfeld that made him a household name, but it seems as if he erased that character completely and there was absolutely no mention of the character, what a shame. I will not be attending any further future shows regarding Jason because this one was so disappointing and a waste of money. Venue was great, 5 stars for venue but no stars for the show.

    FORGET IT!

by music1975 on 9/30/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

We walked out. Nobody is interested in Jason Alexander singing Billy Joel and show tunes! He needs to just do a stand up comedy show and skip the tunes and dancing. Though he can sign and dance it's not why people come to see him. He really pulled a unintentional "George" in that respect but it wasn't funny to the paying audience.

    Very Disappointing

by LB2B on 9/30/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I bought tickets to see Jason Alexander because I thought I was going to a comedy show. I did not expect, nor did I want, to be going to a concert. My husband and I walked out on the show.

    Jason Alexander

by Mary9989 on 9/30/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Worst show I’ve ever seen. More than half the people got up and walked out. He can’t sing but spent the whole time attempting to and he rambled on about his dead parents.

    Not as advertised

by Ozzy1245 on 4/18/18State Theatre - New Brunswick

I bought these tickets as a gift for my partner months ago. He loves anything to do with Seinfeld so I thought this would be perfect. However, the event turned out to be disappointing. I wasn't sure what this was about and did some googling to learn it was about Jason's journey supported by song and comedy. When the show opened we learned from the maestro that the entire first half of the show was just the orchestra and then the second half was Jason. While the orchestra is talented and the maestro was funny, it wasn't what I thought we bought tickets to which was a Jason Alexander show (presumable means the entire show if top billing). When Jason was on stage he was funny but the whole thing just felt like false advertising. It should have been him as special guest instead.

    Jason Alexander

by newtown1 on 10/15/15Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Jason is very talented! We had no idea that he could sing and play the piano. A very entertaining show, he had you captured for a full 90 minutes. Recited as a must see.
