    Great bands, horrible speakers

    I love all of the bands on the Tender Loving Empire label, especially Y La Bamba. Unfortunately, the sound system was so terrible I couldn't hear any of the vocals, and the rest was distorted with the occasional high-pitched shriek from the speakers. One week earlier I saw Lykke Li at the the Wonder Ballroom and it sounded amazing; I don't what went wrong for the Tender Loving Empire show, but it was awful. I left two hours before the show ended.
