Jackie Mason was on time. Jackie was very funny with his jokes.
Not funny, his views on politics became a diatribe that had people yelling, angry and walking out. I wanted my money back couldn't get it. Never again
I have been a huge Jackie Mason fan my whole life. I even met him (briefly) a couple of times, as well as his brother. It has been a while since I have seen him perform and I realize he is 86 years old, but I was somewhat shocked to see him like this. He was very unsteady with his material, repeating some of the material when he seemed to forget where he was in his act. At one point he was so disoriented that he was talking into the wrong end of the microphone. To be fair, I still enjoyed seeing him again, and some of his material was very funny. I just feel he is not the sharp cutting edge comedian he once was, and that is sad to see. He is very likeable and a 'mensch' but I think his stand up days are coming to a sad end.
Horrible! Mason needed a cheat sheet, repeated the same joke 3 times, went silent several times, almost fell 2 times and could not find his way off stage 2 times, breathing was difficult for home and it was loud from the mike... wish I could be refunded
As stated by other reviews, when Jackie goes off on a political bent, the show flatlines. I'm not bothered by political humor on either side (goodness knows there is plenty of material on either side to mine). However, Jackie just spouts his opinions and THERE ARE NO JOKES. The audience just goes dead until he starts up his timeless schtick about everything under the sun. Then the real laughter begins again. Mr. Mason, please leave the political comments to the talking heads on tv and stick to the material that has garnered you countless fans over the years.
It was fun to see and laugh at Jackie Mason's jokes and see him in person
First half very political and not funny... Many people left...we stuck it out because we had good memories of long ago Shows... Second half was funnier
I would have never bought the ticket or even entertained the idea of going to this concert if I had known Jackie Mason's political leanings. I have enough of Trump news all day long and the last thing I wanted to hear was someone singing his praises. TRULY A BUMMER.
I have been a fan of Jackie's for many years. This performance was awful. Nothing but bad political commentary and dated jokes. I wanted to leave but stayed till the end hoping it would get better. It didn't!!!
He is 85 yrs old and still got it, funny, clever, my face was hurting from laughing, thanks!
