Fun time on a great city!

by Forward Fan on 10/3/23Various Venues - Toronto

Caught 4 shows Thurs/Fri/Sat Safari Time with Mark Forward ***** it was my 2nd time at The Comedy Bar on Bloor, small club but a great staff and atmosphere. Mark was HILARIOUS. Michelle Wolf **** she was hilarious, the venue could’ve handled line control better. The Alternative Show hosted by Mark Forward **** would’ve been 5, just needed more Mark. Joe DeRosa *** very nice venue - Rivoli - in the heart of the city, first time seeing Joe - he was a tad depressing but still funny.

    Burger Credits

by Sideshow Bob on 10/3/23Various Venues - Toronto

I look forward to my JFL week every year. The headliners are amazing and I get unlimited burger credits to see the rising 42! I went to shows I never would have see without the credit system - looking at you Jamiaca vs Trinidad. It’s a wild week of laughs and a great way to see the city by bouncing from venue to venue. Looking first to next year!

That was NO LIVE comedy show!

by JM on 9/26/23The Royal Theatre - Toronto

Where was the live comedy show I paid for??? First 1/2 hour was a video show of something to do with figure skating. No comedy. We thought we were in the wrong room. There was no live comedian! Then 4 people come on stage seated down talking about the video & figure skating. What a stupid show if you want to even call it that. When everyone started to leave my boyfriend & I thought it was just a 15 min break & then the actual live comedy show would start but then the lady in the front told us it was finished. I go to comedy shows all the time & never ever saw something that stupid & payed $100 for 2 tickets. I want a refund.

Amazing show - one of the best

by Carlos Dcf on 10/3/22The Royal Theatre - Toronto

This was hilarious! So much more fun than expected. I’m surprised it didn’t get more attention. The woman who was nervous, was the best. She seemed nervous, and I was feeling bad - but she was hilarious! So glad I went to this event

    Good. Not great. Not bad.

by Kenlow on 9/26/22Various Venues - Toronto

Website confusing. Booking unreliable. Ushers devices to check passes were going down. Street food was more expensive than real food at a restaurant. Could not buy beer inside theatre due to lack of staff. At 12 a beer, selling alcohol is crucial and yet we could not give our money to buy an overpriced drink. I did like that the streets downtown were closed off. It’s so un Toronto. Where Montreal gets it right, we are mired in legislation and rules. In Montreal, more free things happen on the street making it vibrant. The Toronto fest was empty for large expanses of time. But it did fill up when something was on stage. Jane Mallett theatre was a great venue. Getting to Queen Elizabeth theatre was a strategic nightmare. But the comics were good. Last minute changes to performers and venues was ridiculous. Still… happy to have had the event take place. And I hope it continues to grow.

    So much fun!

    by S. M. on 10/5/19Various Venues - Toronto

Nothing better then to rent a place for the weekend and have a relaxing morning and then a day of walking and laughing! Unique method for reserving shows and glad for the flexibility of upgrading someone to a bigger venue if the demand is there!

    Disappointing

by Longshot on 10/1/19Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (soon to be Meridian Hall) - Toronto

The show for the most part was entertaining but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED on how short it was. I paid over $100 for 1 hour or less of comedy. I think that's ridiculous. My seats were up top so I'm not sure how the people down low felt paying what they did for an hours show.
