About

J Balvin in Concert

Charismatic Columbian reggaeton singer J Balvin has been a dominant figure on the Latin charts since his 2009 debut. The electric artist is known for beat-heavy performances that feature a troupe of talented female backup dancers, and his high-energy renditions of fan favorites like "Tranquila" and "Yo Te Lo Dije" always get fans moving. Ticket buyers looking to swivel their hips can catch J Balvin on tour in 2014 with Latin music icons Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.

J Balvin Background

J Balvin was born Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin in the Columbian city of Medellin. He was interested in rap, dancehall, and bachata from an early age, and began to hone his performance technique and dance moves watching music videos. He made his debut in 2009 with the track "Elle Me Cautivo", which cracked the Top 20 in his native country and the Top 40 on the US Tropical chart. Following the release of a mixtape titled Real in 2010, Balvin continued to climb the Columbian charts with his soundtrack contributions to the 2011 film El Negocio, reaching No. 2 with "Sin Compromiso" and earning his first No. 1 with "En Lo Oscuro". His official debut full-length album La Familia dropped in 2013, expanding his fanbase overseas and landing at No. 2 on the US Latin Rhythm Albums chart. The album contained three chart-topping singles including "Yo Te Lo Dije" and "6 AM", propelling the album to triple-platinum status in Columbia. A talented singer and dancer with enough stage presence to fill even the biggest arena, J Balvin continues to dazzle on perennial tours.

    Sad

    by A. Y. on 9/15/23

I love JBALVIN but I’m not sure why he cancelled the 8/31 Hard Rock Cafe concert in Atlantic City NJ. Had my outfit and everything planned for that night; then 2 wks before it got the cancellation email. So sad, then even more bummed seeing he’s been a surprising guest at Karol G concert and other reggeaton artists around the same time.

    Not bad

    by Mike G on 2/2/23

Was able to see J Balvin perform back in 2019 at MSG. Stage was vibrant and colorful. Not bad of a performer. Disappointed he canceled his Jose Tour.

    Sub-par performance

    by m. t. on 9/1/22

Out of all of the Latin artists I have seen live, J. Balvin is definitely not at the top. I expected so much from him, but his performance felt so low energy. His dance moves felt forced the entire night. Idk if I'd purchase tickets for another one of his shows.

    1st JBalvin Concert

    by Ori on 7/14/22

Who am I to say it had nothing to do with Covid? With this said, more than a month later, I would expect some kind of communication to fans his fans, those who purchased tickets and took time off their employment to attend this concert. Jose. Jose, when is Boston getting their show? Let a woman know. 😘

Due to Covid-19? Not buying it.

    by J. R. on 6/24/22

J Balvin, I hope you get this! It’s not fair what you did to all your truth fans. We obviously didn’t care about [R] and Nodal bashing at you. We stood loyal to you no matter the circumstances you were facing. How dare you cancel your tour and left us in pain? I was so looking forward to meeting you, even from a far away distance. Get your head out of the gutter and start acting like a real star, cause you were born to shine! You got to keep your head up! P.S. You owe me a free ticket to your next concert, just for breaking my heart.
