    ivy league of comedy

by Ruthyd on 9/9/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

We were disappointed in the show. MC was terrible as well as the last comedian that performed. First two were good especially the second one. I would not recommend this show nor would we see it again. Open seating caused some confusion.

    Boring Comedy!

by Meals2u on 9/9/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

First, the Emcee, Sean Eli was not the least bit funny, looked uncomfortable on stage and kept wiping the sweat from his face. Not a great warmup to the 3 other comedians. Never heard of any of them, but I figured I could get good seats (at a premium), I'd have some laughs. Then, before the show started, b/c, there were so few attendees, they told everyone they could move up to any open seat. So glad I paid for premium seats...NOT! You would think "The Ivy League of Comedy" would have some sophisticated "college" humor. Not at all. Don't remember much of their names. The first one's name was "Moddy". He was okay and somewhat likeable. The middle comedian (don't remember his name" was the best. His routine was more polished and funny. The lasy one, "... Kaplan", spent the whole show explaining how is was Jewish (but not that Jewish) and how everyone hated Jews, including, apparently himself. When he wasn't doing that, he spent the rest of the routine denying he was gay (who cares anyway). In all, a mediocre evening of comedy at best.
