    ISO is simply fantastic!

by SlickCLB on 7/4/16Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park - Indianapolis

Cold!!! Can anyone say "cold"? On the first day of July, who in their right mind would ever have said it would be cold and windy in Indianapolis?! With that said, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra warmed our hearts with an outstanding program to celebrate our nation's birthday! ISO is first-class!!! The seats at the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn are absolutely terrible though; would not want to pay a major investment for tickets to this venue!!!

    Great show..Great Venue

by Angelpride on 7/4/16Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park - Indianapolis

The symphony is always a pleasure to listen to. The added history soldiers was a nice touch. Acknowledging the veterans was also a nice touch. Fireworks were a nice end to a great concert. The venue was nice, being outside in Downtown Indianapolis was awesome. We really enjoyed the evening. Zach De Pue was AWESOME such passion for the music always a joy to watch.

ISO Rachmaninoff 2 and Prokofiev #4

by barchap on 1/30/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The soloist was wonderful, very expressive, I could hear every note. The symphony did a fantastic job with the Indianapolis premier of the Prokofiev, the soloist were great and the full orchestra sections were just right. Great concert!

Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2 was well-performed

by Anonymous on 1/29/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The overall program was not that good. I did enjoy the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2 very much, as most people left after that part of the program. My wife and I wished that we had done the same.

Rachmaninov 2nd piano concerto, Prokofiev Sym #4

by DanMBass on 1/29/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Excellent performance by soloist and the orchestra. The orchestra overpowered the soloist at times, but I believe that has more to do with the acoustics at Clowes than the orchestra itself. We really enjoyed the performance. The Prokofiev is a much welcomed addition. Well played and very reminiscent of Shostakovich.
