The pavilion was extremely cold. It was unpleasant and uncomfortable.
Very good time for all. The players played their hearts out and never stopped. Well worth the money.
Pan Am Pavillion has the worst concession stand in the history of sports. The have bags of candy and chips and bottles of soft drinks with one stand selling beer. No pretzels, nachos, hot dogs or anything else you might expect to find at a sporting event with a large captive audience. No vendors, if you want something you have to get up and wait in line for 20 minutes like everyone else. Not as good as seeing a game at the Pepsi Coliseum.
Great game! I'd never been to an Ice game before - my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the game! Wonderful crowd!!
great game. staff and food service were all very friendly and helpful. variety of food to choose from. there were a couple young boys who sat in front of us who kept acting up. I don't think they were sitting in their purchased seats and there were no adults with them. after about 1/2 hour they got to be really annoying and kept standing blocking the view, kicking the glass with their shoes, pulling themselves up on the glass etc..many people around us were making comments. I noticed that the security guard kept eyeing them but never came over to assist.
Even though the players all look like they are 12 years old, we had an excellent time! Go Ice!
Seeing the Indy Ice play at Pan Am was a fun and affordable family event. Venue is a bit small compared to other ice stadiums but for the price it was good.
We previously saw the Ice play at Banker's Life Fieldhouse, and this venue was very different. The rink is more of a practice rink than an arena, with seating only for a couple hundred people. When you walk into the lobby of the Pan Am building, it does not look like a sports venue. We had GA tickets, so we actually stood right on the glass with a lot of other attendees. As a big hockey fan, this was exciting and unexpected for me, but I could see how newer fans may not get as much out of the game from being so close. Be sure to dress warm! There is an adorable coffee shop in the lobby, so you can warm up during intermissions.
My Husband (who played hockey in college) went to the game for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was very family friendly.
