We performed at the very beginning and had to sit there for hours until awards because there was no reentrance. We had elderly grandparents with us that had to sit there all that time!
Terrible venue. Could not even bring a sealed bottle of water in and only a clear purse (that we were not aware ahead of time). Could not re-enter the building either. Long concession lines of subpar food prevented us from seeing all the performances we wanted to see.
A great two days filled with lots of excitement. Venue needs better signage for handicap accessibility. Lost a star for that one. The lady working the VIP door on Friday was top notch. She went above and beyond to help us with my 90 year old dad.
Since there are so many schools attending and they bring fans, the Grossinger Arena should find a way to sell tickets to each schools by sections. This way fans will not get in trouble for saving seats for school bus full of students to come cheer their team.
The event was run on time but entering the event was crazy and a stampede. Let people enter to the seats once the doors are open holding them in an area creates the stampede to gets seats for those who took the time to stand in the cold to get good seats and arrive early. I have been to cheer events for over 12 years and never experienced anything like this madness!
It was incredibly entertaining. The girls and parents really got involved with the event while the staff made sure it rolled along smoothly. Great fun!
