    Mashup of the Ages

by ChicoH51 on 6/30/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

It was a great mash up of music, comedy and comics! I loved everything about it. There were some issues with how organized the venue was set up. And I wish the comedy stage was a open space so more people could watch. Yet, the music was great and the comedy fantastic!

    Underwhelmed -

by Rigamortis on 6/29/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

It was very badly run. The main stage had crappy bands that no one wanted to see and all that space was lost as no one wanted to sit there and listen.. and yet we had to push for space in a tiny tent for the EDM music and even worse I was charged and paid for a comedy tent that I could not get into something about fire codes and an orange ticket that I did not get there early enough to attain. And $80 on one beer and a bottle of wine. A total scam. I would NOT recommend this disappointing festival to anyone.

good start for hopefully recurring event

by someoldguy on 6/29/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Unlike BFD there were no crazy lines at the beginning because things started out with the Panel discussions so there were only a thousand people or so there at the beginning and then people trickled in during the day. The Panels were fun and probably a bit like Comic-Con. Only misfire of the Festival was too small comedy tent and not enough comedy shows. There were a lot more people Sat than Sun perhaps due to Weezer headlining + Saturday night? Got to see OK GO who I hadn't seen for years and they were great. Sunday Animal Collective and TV on the Radio rocked!. Girl Talk sounded interesting, but were on too late. Thanks and Please do it again next year Chris!

Day 2: TV on the Radio & Portlandia

by Mattman007 on 6/28/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

E for effort, but the music line-up for day 2 was weak with the exception of TV on the Radio. The Portlandia panel was great. The VIP extras were forgettable. I give them credit for trying something different.

    Unexpected "ticketed" events

by hardwicksfault on 6/28/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

This is a lovely, well organized venue. The concessions however, were wildly overpriced. $5 for a 20 oz bottle of Aquafina is absurd. The food was good, but also overpriced for the quantity. I was also disappointed that additional special "tickets" were needed for some attractions when I was in possession of an unlimited 2-day pass.

Conival hit just the right notes

by msw117 on 6/28/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

If you are a Chrish Harwick/ Nerdist fan, this festival was designed for you, and hardly anything else needs to be said. If you are not part of that particular in-crowd, it still had an awful lot going for it, including a great band line-up (Weezer, OK GO, TVOTR and more), comedy shows, TV panels with lots of stars, an EDM tent all night long, great food trucks, comic book and other artists, and Lazer Tag. C'mon, how much more do you want? Great stuff. It was well organized, despite a few glitches, understandable for a first year con, and you know Hardwick will be all over that. So, plan on going next year. I know I will.
