    I Pagliacci exceeds all expectations

    The Empire State Lyric Theatre's performance of I Pagliacci exceeded all of my expectations. Supported by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra the performers all seemed to be in "good voice" and were all enthusiastic and professional in their respective rolls. Of special note, the soprano, Susan Cotronio, was very impressive.

    Overall, I did enjoy the performance, although it was rather short for the money we had to pay. I was also disappointed we didn't see the characters in their respective Commedia outfits.
