About

I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is the brand-new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history! America’s favorite foursome – Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel – is live on stage and in color for the very first time!

It’s 1952 and you are a member of the studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY® episodes.  Imagine stepping back in time onto the Desilu Playhouse soundstage where a charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, the 1950s hi-fidelity technology and this brand-new thing called “television.” The episodes begin and you witness, firsthand, the side-splitting antics of that crazy redhead in the Ricardo’s New York apartment and thrill to the Cuban sounds of “The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra” at the famed Tropicana Nightclub. In-between scenes? The Crystaltone Singers perform live advertising jingles of the show’s newest sponsors in perfect 50s style harmony. Can you say “Brylcreem?!”

L.A. Examiner’s Ron Irwin says I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is “an absolutely brilliant and utterly engaging tribute to that iconic television show!” TV Guide’s William Keck calls it, “the most entertaining stage production I’ve seen in years – including Broadway!”

The truth is in the title – whether young or old, everybody really does LOVE LUCY!

    Great show!

by PaulsMine on 6/4/15Aronoff Center - Cincinnati, OH

I had heard good reviews of this show, and it exceeded my expectations. The cast was amazing--they looked, sounded, and acted just like the originals, so much that I felt like I was watching a colorized episode. I'm a lifelong Lucy fan and could not get over how authentic this production was. In addition to the major players, the announcer and supporting players (doing the commercials and other bits) were wonderful. I highly recommend this show to any Lucy fans, you will not be disappointed.

This was such a good show. I'm a huge Lucille Ball fan so I'm always critical of anyone that attempts to imitate the Queen. Even though no one can do what Lucille Ball did, this actress did a good job. Everyone in the show was great. The highlight of the show may have been the announcer. He was so funny and was quick on his feet when working with an audience member that he brought up on stage. I was also impressed by how accurate the costumes were for each scene. They were identical to what was used in each scene of the actual show. The commercials were so entertaining. They were able to make 50's references without being corny. If they do another show with 2 different episodes I'd go again.

The entire show was spot on! The actors did a great job representing the episodes, and the "commercials" were great too! My favorite show yet!

    Lucy and Ricky were cute!

by NYbuttons on 4/26/15Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

What a great idea to put this show together and to include the types of commercials it ran with. The show brought back such great memories. We enjoyed the two episodes very much and would have enjoyed at least one more episode- perhaps one of their more famous ones- Lucy and Ethel at the chocolate factory or the vitametavegamin commercial. I would love to go again with two or more different episodes.

I love Lucy was a great and full of good laughs

by KayMae824 on 4/22/15Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

My brother and I had bought these tickets for our mom as a surprise. She is the biggest I Love Lucy fan that I know. It was so amazing to hear my mom's most genuine, real laugh come out during the entire show. Even with my brother being in a wheelchair, the seats were easy to get to and we still had a great view. We all really enjoyed the funny commercials and enjoyed how the performers involved the audience. My only complaint is that I wish it would have been longer since it was such a great show!!!

by Ilovelucyfan on 4/22/15Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

My parents are in their 60's and said they had a great time. The story was great and so was the acting. They had SUCH a great time. They hoped I Love Lucy would come back to St. Louis next year with two new shows. Said they would go every year!
