BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

I Am the Avalanche was formed in Brooklyn in 2004 by Vinnie Caruana, a post-hardcore scene veteran who had previously fronted the Long Island punk band The Movielife. After cutting their teeth on tourin the US and UK, the band released their self-titled 2005 debut to significant critical acclaim. A string of high-profile festival appearances followed including the Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle Festival, and the Soundwave Festival in Australia. They released their sophomore album Avalanche United in 2011 to another round of praise, landing at No. 9 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart before hitting the road on another electrifying tour. In 2014 the band released their third album Wolverines, which reached the top spot on the Heatseeker's Albums chart thanks to powerful songs like "Two Runaways" and "Young Kerouacs". A fiery live act with chops to match their acclaimed songwriting, I Am the Avalanche continue to lay it all on the line on their unforgettable tours.
