About

Hozier is one of the most successful folk artists of the 21st century. Born Andrew Hozier-Byrne, the Irish singer-songwriter first toured internationally as a member of the Irish vocal group Anúna before going solo in 2012. His watershed moment came a year later when his first single, “Take Me to Church” was released. In 2014, it rose to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ushered in Hozier’s self-titled debut, which itself reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. “Take Me to Church” closed 2014 as Spotify’s most-shared song of the year and garnered Hozier’s first career Grammy nomination for Song of the Year. His 2019 sophomore full-length, Wasteland Baby!, topped the Billboard 200 and was supported by Hozier’s first solo headlining world tour. In 2023, Hozier released his third album, Unreal Unearth. Throughout his career, Hozier has collaborated with artists such as Mavis Staples, Annie Lennox, Maren Morris, Noah Kahan, Brandi Carlile and composer Bear McCreary.

    Fantastic Show!

by Mickey on 4/23/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - Raleigh

Hands down one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Venue staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and all lines moved a lot faster than expected! My friend and I got in line at about 6:30 with the show starting at 7:30, and we were in with still enough time to get drinks, snacks, merch, AND sign the banner! Concert itself was fantastic. Hozier is one of my all time favorites, the sound was gorgeous and his audience has some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. No crazy pushing, beautiful lighting on stage, and his voice is impeccable. Best of all, affordable tickets!! I paid around $60 per ticket with reserved seating and included parking. Would absolutely attend again if given the chance! Hoping one day he comes to SC so I dont have to make the drive up to NC, but it’s no big deal.

    A wonderful night

by JRo on 4/23/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - Raleigh

I attended the Raleigh show on 4/20 and it was a beautiful experience. The crowd was amazing and Hozier was even better. He sounded absolutely amazing and he played over 15 songs, all nearly back to back. Overall, it was an incredibly powerful and immersive show. Hopefully next time I’ll be in the pit

    Amazing 🖤💜

by Katie O’Grady on 4/23/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - Raleigh

Hozier’s amazing, obviously. I got there super early and did early bird parking, glad I did because a ton of people fully missed Allison Russell’s set which was legit a religious experience. She’s so good, I’d drive 2.5 hours and deal with parking to just see her and her band again if they come back. Getting there super early vs getting there half an hour before doors open didn’t seem to make as much of a difference for how close to barrier you’d get with a pit seat, it looked like which entrance you use to get into the actual theater mattered and that’s a separate process from getting into the pavilion part of the venue (drinks, bathrooms). Need more water stations in the pavilion part, PLEASE. I found the venue confusing because I don’t go to a lot of concerts, so I for sure had questions, but every staff person I talked to was very nice and helpful! 🖤

    Nothing short of INCREDIBLE!

by Lily on 4/23/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - Raleigh

The Hozier Unreal Unearth Tour Concert at Coastal Credit Union Amphitheater in Raleigh was one of, if not THE BEST concert I’ve been to. We sat on the lawn and got an amazing spot and felt we had a great view of the stage. The spectacle of it all, the lights, sound, stage design was amazing and made the experience that much better. The venue was perfect for it being a Hozier concert, the crowd was perfect. Everyone was super nice and there to have a great time! I will remember this concert forever.

Come with me to another great Hozier night

    by Anonymous_01 on 4/21/24

I first seen Hozier during Brandi Carlile's mothership festival in Florida as a headliner for night 2 last year, and so much happened to me the same day as the show, before and after. To start off, Brandi stormed the gulf coast, and she gave me a high five while running in the ocean (and posted a video and picture on her social media). I get in the ocean eventually then got to bear hug Brandi. I already got barricade for my first Hozier show, got a guitar pick and he said "hi"to me and three other girls in a golf cart after the show. Since that experience, I raved about going to Hozier and Allison Russell in my home town, so I got lawn tickets as it was all that was available during the time. I HAD to go regardless, pit or not! I just saw him for my 2nd time tonight, and I can't believe a lady randomly upgraded me and my mom from the lawn to the pit, about 5 to 7 rows from Hozier! Another great show and he sounds the same as the studio album!

    what a man

    by Molly on 2/27/24

I saw pookie at Innnings Festival in Tempe and I am obsessed. He is so sweet onstage and even a bit shy, he says thank you after every song and acts like it's his first performance. His set list was so diverse and a good balance of his new album and his other songs, he puts so much of his heart into it. He also sounds just as good in person as he does on the studio albums. Although there was 24,000 people there, it still felt intimate and cozy, but that may just be because I had barricade. He gave credits to his band 2 times and same for his team who weren't even all on stage. At the end he rolled credits for them after verbally thanking them. He is such a humble person. His stage was wonderful as well and very pretty, the visuals were awesome. He even came down the stage to high five people and step up onto the barricades stairs. He was funny and his vibes were amazing, you would think he was an underground artist with how he acts, clearly he was raised right. A lot of people critique the venues and stuff but I could care less how crowded it was, he was the star.

    Totally Unexpected Gift

    by Pushing 60 on 1/29/24

Been going to concerts for more than 40 years. I've seen The Stones, The Who, U2 (a few times each in the 80s and 90s), CSNY, Eagles, Heart, The Police, Sting, Pink Floyd, Santana, Van Halen (with David and Sammy), and a hundred more along the way across genres and venues from Khalid at the Moda Center in 2018 to Charles Wesley Godwin at the Knitting Factory, Boise in 2022. Not included in the list above is the band I saw the most. Twenty times or more, because they were so next-level amazing live. Better than on record. Music performed so beautifully it makes your heart hurt, your soul sing and, perhaps, moves you to tears. At this point in life, I did not entertain the thought there might be another artist with that power. Then I saw Hozier. Stunning. So thankful for this totally unexpected gift. Portland...Las Vegas...next up, Bend!
