About House of Blues Gospel Brunch

House of Blues Gospel Brunch Live

A high-spirited event that has become a treasured tradition in Las Vegas and nationwide, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch offers the best kind of nourishment for bodies and souls every Sunday. Visitors can enjoy traditional and contemporary songs by local gospel performers and national touring groups while digging into the House of Blues' signature all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet of Southern-inspired favorites.

This tradition of combining soul-stirring performances and great food began over two decades ago at the original House of Blues location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Gospel Brunch soon became a well-loved staple in Las Vegas when the House of Blues opened its seventh location with a 600-seat restaurant and 1,800-capacity music hall at the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino in 1999.

Along with the iconic fried chicken and waffles, the Gospel Brunch menu regularly features such items as prime rib, cornbread, grits, jambalaya and a style-your-own omelette station. Even more exciting than what's on your plate is what's onstage. A 90-minute nondenominational musical celebration, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch is an exuberant experience that the whole family can experience.

House of Blues Gospel Brunch Background

A Sunday morning celebration like no other, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch has been a world-famous tradition for over two decades. It's easy to see why it's such a treasured part of the history of the House of Blues, which grew out of founder Isaac Tigrett's dream to introduce the world to the music, art and food of the rural south. Tigrett opened the House of Blues' first location in a converted, historic house in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1992. The Gospel Brunch soon became part of the House of Blues' reliable menu of great food and entertainment.

In 1999, the Gospel Brunch tradition came to Las Vegas when House of Blues opened a 600-seat restaurant and 1,800-capacity music hall in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Featuring a unique combination of all-you-can-eat buffet with Southern-inspired favorites and a family-friendly, nondenominational 90-minute show of contemporary and traditional songs performed by local gospel talents and national touring acts, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch became a favorite of visitors and locals.

In 2013, the House of Blues enlisted gospel superstar Kirk Franklin to reimagine the Gospel Brunch — with spectacular results. The House of Blues Gospel Brunch continues to be an unforgettable way to celebrate the day.

    Expected Better

by LadyJ on 3/13/24House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Could have been better. Environment cold and food got cold quickly. Not accessible for seniors or disabilities. Too many stairs, performers just okay. Should be more than one. After three songs, it was time for another group. Food flavorful but since it was cold, not good. Bacon got harder and tasted like jerky.

Good for a one time experience

by NMon on 2/28/24House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Price is reasonable. Food was good but not great. Space was limited and it was difficult to move around and dance since the tables were very close together. The show itself was good. It’s a cool experience, but only as a one time thing.

    Uplifting & fun

by Rache on 2/28/24House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

My husband was skeptical about the enjoyment payoff of attending a 10 am event in Vegas but I really wanted to check out the House of Blues Gospel Brunch. It was a blast, great singing & good food! I'm telling everyone that the brunch pastor must have been Kenan Thompson's inspiration for his role as host in SNL's "What's Up with That"skit. The buffet layout could use some tinkering to improve flow so food isn't cold before guests are able to make it through line.

    Sunday's Best!

    by Lynz Lev on 1/9/24

The Gospel Brunch exceeded my expectations! It was a fabulous experience! I left full - spiritually and food. Food: The buffet offered a variety of foods for all palettes. I was especially happy to see vegetarian-friendly options including fresh fruit, green salad, brussel sprouts, potatoes, omelettes (station) and more! It was very scrumptious and filling. Waitstaff: Extremely hospitable, accommodating and friendly. They were helpful, cleared plates from the table and welcomed us with a smile. Entertainment: Ms. Patti (lead singer) and the choir SANG some of my gospel favorites and ushered in the spirit. It was Christ-filled and God was definitely in the venue. So much talent and soul. I also appreciate Patti's audience engagement including acknowledging birthdays. (We were there to celebrate my mother's birthday). I would highly recommend this experience to families, groups of friends, couples, etc!

I had no expectations for this event, but my mind was blown! The venue was wonderful, and the performance was hands down one of the best gospel groups I've seen. I plan to attend every gospel brunch in the future!

The food was cold and the entertainment was old and tired. Not worth the effort. Never again!
