    Good but pricey

by symphonyhallshowfan on 3/25/13Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

My friend and I enjoyed it but given that there was no live orchestra and very few scene changes, I thought a bit pricey for the tickets. Further, the show was less than 1.5 hours if you subtract the intermission time. Nonetheless I enjoyed it. The cast was very energetic and talented. One final note: the hall was less than half full; probably the smallest crowd I have seen for a show at Symphony Hall.

Enjoyed the singing and dancing. stage lighting could have been a little brighter but overall I would recommend this show.

    Fun show

by lenah on 3/23/13Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

It was a toe tapping, finger tapping musical. The selections were favorites and I liked the way they blended song after song on some musicals. The dancing was great and I felt I was there when 'Dancing in the Rain' was sung! The skit from Chicago was delightful. All in all it was worth going.

We enjoyed the show with the incredible costumes...music selections...and the cast worked hard to entertain us.

    HoHum Hooray for Hollywood

by overviewtime on 2/17/13Curtis M Phillips Center for Performing Arts - Gainesville

It was ok but for the first half, I do not know if the singers were tired or the microphones were not working properly, but the singers appeared to be holding back. There was one dancer (she was the shortest-don't know her name) who was distracting with her facial expressions and over exaggeration of movements.

    Not worth the price

by NinaGellen on 2/17/13Curtis M Phillips Center for Performing Arts - Gainesville

My biggest issue was this group just sounded young. The songs selected where OK, though I would have chosen a few extra tunes from "Chicago" and "Hairspray". If you like musicals and know the songs you'll have fun singing along - but you won't be able to glance over the thin vocals or sometimes off-pitch ones. It seemed there were only sopranos and altos here. No tenors, no bass and no depth to the vocals. I also was not keen on their arrangements - speeding up classic ABBA and remixing "America" from West Side Story. I like the costume changes, the dancing was alright. It's not a bad show, but it's not a great show - it's just OK, reminiscent of a high school production.

    nice show

by mxlpic on 2/17/13Curtis M Phillips Center for Performing Arts - Gainesville

Really enjoyable evening. There are some songs/movies in the mix that were not my favorites but that's personal taste. There is so much music out there there could easily be a Hooray for Hollywood 2 or 3 with different songs. Dancers were energetic and singing generally good.

    Better Then Expected

by Wolffman1 on 2/14/13The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

The musical started off somewhat slow when they were performing some of the older tunes and they also were having some microphone/sound difficulty. This was cleared up as the event progressed and the second half of the show was very good both from the quality of the signing, the production numbers and costumes. Overall both my wife and I enjoyed the show.

Hooray for Hollywood a must see

by moeinpo on 2/14/13The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

Attended this event with my husband who is a "couch potato" and complains about everything. Was pleasantly surprised when he admitted how much he enjoyed the show. The entire cast worked so hard to keep the audience entertained. The music, dancing, and costumes were amazing. I am in my early 60's and enjoyed the music from movies from the 1960's to the present.

Super high energy, very entertaining show! The music was great and the performers were wonderful!
