About

HOLLYWOOD BABBLE-ON:

When famed independent film director Kevin Smith teams up with veteran radio personality Ralph Garman, you know the results are going to be hilarious. Their weekly Hollywood Babble-On podcast gives these two geeky, raunchy comedians a platform to rant about whatever crosses their minds, much to the amusement of their rowdy audience. Taking the show on the road to select American cities in 2015, this dynamic duo will have ticket buyers rolling in the aisles with the unpredictable shenanigans and audience participation that have made them a phenomenon on the World Wide Web. Be sure to catch familiar segments like Shout Out, Inappropriate Toys, and Creepy Clown Time from these comedic heavyweights on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Kevin Smith (director and writer of cult-classics like Clerks, Dogma, and Mall Rats) first met voice actor and comedian Ralph Garman while the latter was working on The Kevin & Bean Show. Smith was so impressed by Garman’s wide-ranging repertoire of celebrity impersonations and daily program Showbiz Beat that he suggested they start a weekly podcast to discuss entertainment news and poke fun at B-list celebrities. The result was Hollywood Babble-On, a cult success right out of the gates that was even named one of iTunes Best Podcasts of 2010. As the show’s popularity grew the pair began to host the podcast at large-capacity theaters like the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club and eventually The Hollywood Improv. Hollywood Babble-On went on to win Stitcher awards in 2012 (Best Film & TV podcast) and 2013 (Best Entertainment + Pop Culture podcast), and has featured an impressive array guest comedians including Jon Lovitz, Adam Carolla, Bill Burr, Patton Oswalt, Jay Mohr, and David Koechner.

    Hollywood Babble-On was hilarious!

    by Florn98 on 6/13/16The Wilbur - Boston

The show was great! Kevin & Ralph were so much funnier in person, rather than just listening to the podcast. My only gripe is the venue got extremely warm by the last 15 minutes of the show.

    Hollywood Babble-on

    by Central80 on 6/13/16The Wilbur - Boston

Show was excellent. Only small issue was the sound, really not loud enough with laughter making it harder to hear.

Ralph and Kevin are great and not to be missed in person. You can listen to Kevin on many podcasts and Ralph m-f on kroq 's Kevin's and bean show (not the same Kevin), but they really shine on stage.

I am an avid listener to Hollywood Babble On and finally got a chance to see them live. The show was hysterical start to finish and every fan needs to get out to see them at least once.

    Hollywood Babble-On at San Diego Comic-Con 2015

by CBM2013 on 7/14/15House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Have been going to Hollywood Babble-On at House of Blues for last 3 years. First time getting inside was such a problem. Lines were still outside House of Blues at midnight! Show also started late with problems with scanners so each person had to get their ticket individually checked to get to their seat one by one. Once show started, it was funny especially with Kevin's story about how his Yogahosers panel in Hall H was affected by the Star Wars panel which came before. Show did go on for far too long this year and didn't get out until after 2:30 am!

Disorganize venue, Kevin was Hall H'ed

by YoGabbaForYou on 7/14/15House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Let me start by saying I'm a big Kevin Smith fan. I also listen to Kevin and Bean on KROQ radio station, so I'm also use to listening to Ralph. Because this was a Comic Con show, I expected a bit more related to comic books. Pros : - Getting to hear about Kevin's take on the "JJ Abrams Hall-H Star Wars" panel. It was amusing and heartbreaking. - Easy to find location, alcohol cheaper than some local bars. Cons : - Disorganized staff. House of Blue people was scrambling to check ID for over 21, and didn't really verify my printed ticket. I could have made duplicates and no one would have known. - The show started 30 minutes late. - Kevin and Ralph bolting out of the place. I was expecting a little more fan interaction in this regards, but it was pretty late.. close to a 2 hour show. - Biggest con was the seating. It was really tight.. my thighs was rubbing against the next guy's. Half the show, I went to the back to stand up and have more leg room. Summary : Take a friend or date if they like crude humor. If they don't like geeky, sexual, opinionated humor, this isn't the show for them. Also, I saw the crowd to have 40% female.. so it's fairly even. If you plan to go to one of these shows, be sure to listen to their podcast a bit. It is pretty much the same, but you can see their facial expressions, and funny reactions. Sucks I wasn't able to get my Smodcast figure signed by Kevin... so don't expect them to wait around to mingle with the crowd.

A must see for HBO fans

by Geiszlah on 7/14/15House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I've always been a big fan of the podcast, but it's even better live. All of the visuals they incorporate make it super fun and they're very interactive with the crowd. Will definitely go back next year.
