Nice time, but seating was disappointing

by bamaduke on 12/17/14Gold Strike Casino - Tunica Resorts

Show was pretty good. Family event and good price for what you receive. The only thing is the seating at the theatre was not that great. We had to have seats on the end and our view was blocked by props on the stage. If you are going to that theatre, get seats in the middle not towards the end. Overall good time, great price, just watch your seating.

Very nice "holiday" show. The skaters and singers were awesome, The stage seemed like it could have been a little bigger. I also wish they would have incorporated the real reason for the holiday, "Christmas" , Jesus..

Not as good as REAl ICE! Show was ok. They did their best not being on ice. Should leave out ice in the title.

    very nice

by Anonymous on 12/8/14Paragon Casino Resort - Marksville

The show was great was well worth the money spent. the only complaint was right after show started they removed ropes and allowed people to move up and that blocked my view. If your going to do that do it three minutes before show starts so everyone can see the entire show.(casinos fault not the shows fault)

    Holiday Ice truly Spectacular

by chahldahl on 12/30/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

A fabulous addition to Atlanta holiday arts offerings, The Holiday Ice Spectacular delivered on all fronts. We went with teens and elders and everyone was dazzled. The masterful skating was inspiring, the costuming stunning, the script wove a wonderful thread of humor and anticipation through outstanding performances, and the cast gave their all and then some. The only disappoinment: where was the audience? Way too many Atlantans missed out on the best holiday (or any) programming and performances we've seen. Kudos to the whole production staff. Please don't give up on Atlanta. We'll spread the word. Please come back!! This will definately be at the top of our list of new family traditions!

    Enjoyable event for all ages

by Chericomfort on 12/30/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

We took the children and grandparents and the show appealed to all ages. Great fun for whole family to enjoy on Christmas Eve. The performance was awesome and the costumes were great.

    fun family event

by gypsies on 12/29/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

We really enjoyed Holiday Ice Spectacular and it was just plain fun. Our only negative was that the music was so loud that it actually detracted from the rest of the show. It was far too loud especially for young children-they need to find out the correct level to use for no ear damage. I had to put kleenex in my ears to feel comfortable.

    Good, except

by Dalele on 12/28/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Overall, it was a good performance, however the scene with the 2 male "fairies" was demeaning to gay people and reinforced the stereotype some people still have of gay men. I feel it was also unnecessary as a part of the show. This left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It surprised me as I read that the bio of the choreography indicated he was gay as it referred to his partner. I did not think this scene was funny and I felt very uncomfortable.

    Holiday Ice Spectacular

by GentleGiant on 12/27/10Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was an incredible event. It had a great balance of appeal for children and adults, was fast moving, a great choice of Christmas music, beautiful staging of the production. As for the skaters, they were absolutely superb in every way. It provided a real personal touch for the skater to make her way through the audience while singing. Also for the the couple who provided incredible skating performances to come out into the audience near the end of the performance. Truly a spectacular production.
