Bobby Rush made the Night. The Manhattan was a no show due to weather or lack of ticket sales. Drove from New Orleans to Jackson,Miss to see them. Thank you Bobby Rush for raising my enjoyment level.
ms jody, bobby rush, willie clayton, and mel waiters were off the chain. really enjoyed mel waiters close-out. he was passionate, spiritual, entertaining.
I had been waiting weeks for this event and also Christmas. However, when I made it to the venue, I saw signs posted up that the Manhattens would not be performing. That just killed my spirit. Then about 5 minutes before the show was starting, the announcement was made that Wilson Meadows would not be performing either. Out of all of the performers I really wanted to see...those were the main two. So, my tone was set at the beginning of the show and I was miserable thoughout the entire event. However, Ms. Jody and Bobby Rush did lighten my spirits when they performed.
