    Waste of Time and Money

by MiamiGrad on 2/18/15Soldier Field - Chicago

Broken compressor? Or an excuse to sell an extra 2 hours of food and drinks to a too-small crowd. Surprise last-minute announcements that the game was delayed 1, 2, 3 times. Final treat was the ticket-taker screaming at me that I couldn't get back in after I left. Now that I'm out, I won't be back for another.

    overpriced tickets

by disappointedmfan on 2/14/15Soldier Field - Chicago

While the game was enjoyable and fun to watch the ticket prices were very overpriced. Purchased 6 tickets at an earlier date for approx. $60 plus your fees and approx. one week prior to the event had to purchase another ticket. Could not find a ticket for less than $90 plus your fees. At that time we are thinking the game must be sold out, tickets are limited and thus the reason for the expensive ticket. Arrived at the game and there were empty seats everywhere. Could have bought a cheap ticket and sat wherever you wanted. Not so angry with the tickets bought early, who knew what the turnout would be but a week before the game and I could only purchase what was almost a hundred dollar ticket for a stadium that was so empty I could sit anywhere I desired, cheap ticket or hundred dollar ticket. I feel that was not good marketing. If the tickets had been priced lower you may have had an increased number of fan being that the weather ended up being very pleasant for that time of year.

    Great event

by Anonymous on 2/13/15Soldier Field - Chicago

Really enjoyed the game and the venue. Soldier Field was awesome with great concessions and facilities. The turn out was a little disappointing. The weather may have had something to do with it. I feel the ticket prices were a little excessive for the event. People essentially sat where ever they wanted. My seats provided a great angle to the ice.

    NOT WORTH IT!

    by spartygal78 on 2/12/15Soldier Field - Chicago

We were not allowed to sit in the seats we had chosen. Too far from the ice, and could not see the video screen. Seats were under an overhang, which took away from the outside feeling.

    Started really late, low attendance

    by SpartyOn7798 on 2/11/15Soldier Field - Chicago

The games were both delayed and started almost two hours late. There was very low attendance, so we got our pick of seats but really missed the excitement of a big crowd. Good thing they sold a few types of beer and wine, which meant every type of drinker was satisfied. I think attendance would have been better if the games started on time. Could have been a great event! But we Still had fun with some old college friends:)

Delaying the event start time due to ice conditions was understandable; however, the incremental delays with no explanations were frustrating.

    Poor Showing

by Anonymous on 2/11/15Soldier Field - Chicago

There was a very poor showing of people at this venue. Should have found a smaller venue to host event or found a way to sell more tickets. The tickets on Ticketmaster did not match the ticket diagram on the event website. Also there was very little information about the event itself, IE what was allowed vs what was not allowed. I could only locate information from the Bears webpage but most of that information only allpied to Bears games.

    Not much excitement

by Divorceki on 2/10/15Soldier Field - Chicago

I am sorry, but for something billed as a marquee event, there just wasn't much excitement at the stadium for this. The two hour delay in the start time meant that I could not stay for the entire event.

    Great hockey Disappointing event

    by Hockeyfan9876 on 2/10/15Soldier Field - Chicago

All four teams played great exciting games. Thanks for that men! If it wasn't for the great show on the ice these promoters would have in bad shape. Maybe the City of Chicago could try to identify with the fans that considered to come out to the games. $10 beers, $9 waters, overprice and limited food options made this seven hour event leaving a sour taste. We are not the corporate Bears Fans you are used to dealing with unlimited entertainment expense accounts. A little bit of forward thing on everyone's part may have lead to more than 21,000 fans as reported, it actually looked like half that from my seats.

Hockey City Classic was a failure!

    by jh21 on 2/10/15Soldier Field - Chicago

2 hour delays to both games with no communication to ticket holders. No re-entry allowed so if you wanted to leave between games (2 hour break separated the games) you were not allowed to re-enter - this was not communicated on the tickets nor via signs at the gate. Crowds were sparse. They even got the name of one of the colleges wrong on a piece of memorabilia sold at concessions: "Michigan University" - seriously?!
