This was not quite what I had expected, but turned out even BETTER! Amazing performance by Hershey Felder and such an audience connection, too! I learned something new AND enjoyed myself immensely. Great evening, great show!
Hershey was terrific and the show was great. Filled with terrific Broadway tunes and great stories. Highly recommended to anyone who likes musicals.
From beginning to end, Hershey Felder captivated the audience with his talent, music, and story telling. He really made the show intimate and personal by sharing his own experiences and knowledge about the composers. When he talked to the audience, you felt as though he was talking directly to you. The volunteers from the audience were hilarious. The heartfelt ending, where he shared about losing his mother at a young age and sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow, was very powerful. For anyone who loves the great composers, musical theater and storytelling, it doesn't get better than this.
The acoustics were awful in the Balboa Theater. The singing was fine, but there just wasn't enough of it. Too much talking between songs!

Hershey Felder is an outstanding musician and performer. The show was totally a wonderful experience. It was educational, funny, and warm with familiar American music, which made for a very pleasurable evening.
I am a follower of this brilliant musician and entertainer. He is so creative!
We loved singing a long to old standards. Hershey's stories were so entertaining and ingesting . Great pianist. Very entertaining. Highly recommend this show and Hershey Feldman.
Best New Year's Eve in a long time! Last night I sang myself to sleep (for about 1/2 hour!) just reliving the event. Wish Hershey lived here instead of Paris - thanks, Hershey for a wonderful evening!
