Absolute Must See!
by San Diego Debbie on 4/17/23Balboa Theatre - San DiegoI saw Hershey Felder for the first time a few months ago as Chopin in Paris. I absolutely had to see him as George Gershwin. He did not disappoint! This show is actually going to be retired as Gershwin was 38 when he died, and Hershey feels he can't pull it off much longer. The show was phenomenal. If you've never seen Hershey Felder, when the show is over, he has an audience interaction and allows questions. This time there was a sing-a-long. One lady soloed on "Embraceable You." It turned out she is a social worker at a prison. Hershey promised that the next time he is on the West Coast, he will go and play music at the prison. He never breaks a promise! So incredible!
