Heartbeat of Home- Proud to be Irish!
Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago
My daughter and I recently attended a Saturday Matinee performance of Heartbeat of Home. We had been looking forward to this since we received the announcement of it's performance dates months ago. We were not disappointed. Comparisons to "Lord of the Dance" and "Riverdance" are bound to happen but I don't think it would be fair to judge this or compare this to either of those performances. Heartbeat has it's own style, it's own voice. When we left the theater we discussed the music and dance of Heartbeat and we both concluded that the dancers were extraordinary. As for the music, it wasn't as memorable for me as the music of "Riverdance" or "Lord", but there were moments when certain songs resonated with me. I would certainly come back to see Heartbeat. It is more "current" in it's dance and as long as the Irish dance, I'll be there.

It was amazing. Loved every minute of it. Of course the dancing was my favorite. But also loved the singing and music.

Thought I'd have way more Riverdance
Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago
Of course I went in with backwards expectations, but I wanted way more Riverdance. The way it was, this felt like a bizarre mish-mash of dance with a common thread of Riverdance that really just didn't fit.

Heartbeat was fabulous
Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago
Heartbeat of Home was wonderful. The people who designed and choreographed this production were genius. All performers were amazing. The background holograms added a whole dimension also. Of course can't forget the music - beautiful. So glad I was able to attend, it was well worth it.
