    Harley 110th

by MBG2009 on 11/18/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

There was so much more to do and see outside of Summerfest that we did not get the value for the ticket. The vendor parties were awesome and they also had great entertainment that going to summerfest and fighting the traffic and construction was the last on our agenda.

Wanted a Harley event not a music festival

by MaryMichaelin on 10/13/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

Very disappointed Harley. Didn't go the one time you had the motorcycle competition because I was leading people around the city. There was NOTHING Harley the rest of the weekend. I NEVER would have bought a ticket for $102 to listen to music. I live in Milwaukee. I like music but I don't like to sit at concerts. I have volunteered for Harley/HOG before I even owned my own bike. This was the 1st year I didn't work and there was nothing at the Summerfest grounds but music. So my ticket was worthless to me. By the looks of the attendance during the day other people weren't very happy either. If my out of town friends would not have wanted to meet there I would not have gone at all after I discovered there was only music. I hope my review makes its way to Harley Davidson as it's not a reflection on Ticketmaster or the music scene.

HD 110th Anniversary was totally unforgettable!!

by HarleyJon on 9/29/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

Getting our tickets from the venue as international guests was no problem. Greeted by very friendly staff. The venue was fabulous, plenty of vendors for food/drinks, and toilet facilities. Didn't have to queque for a loo which was surprising considering the 1,000s of people there. The event was just amazing and so efficiently run. HD had the right approach in having so many staff and volunteers on hand to make the even run so smoothly. Awesome can't wait for the 115th!

    110 what a joke

by HarleyMan59 on 9/23/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

THe event was missing a key element. PEOPLE I attended the 100 and was very impressed, thinking the 110 would be the same. Very disappointed!!! If you wanted to see the 3 top acts you were required to pay extra. I'm still trying to find out what the $100.00 ticket i bought got me. I'll be hard pressed to attend another event if it's run by the same people.

    Lynard Skynard

by Snappy3 on 9/18/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

Lynard Skynard was awesome. The sound system really projected his voice and the big screen helped us to enjoy him up close

    Summerfest grounds

by Fatboy08hd on 9/17/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

Not sure why we paid so much for the event passes just to get an event pin w/$10 gift card? The "free concerts" were no different from all the other shows throughout the city. Vendors were no different then EVERYWHERE else. Derks Bentley was a good show, but I paid much less a couple years ago. $7 a beer? Really? We might come back to the area, but never during HD event, sad seeing how we have been riding for aprox 30 yrs. It felt like no one was in charge and everyone was surprised that it was actually time to kick this event off. Ask somebody for info and not one person could answer the question alone, always had to get help. Forget about parking, we even left our bikes at camp site and took a taxi. Very dissatisfied. After taking a year to plan this trip from Florida to include friends from as far away as Utah, it's very sad to say, never again!!!!

    Harley Family Reunion

by travelchicka on 9/16/13Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) - Milwaukee

I loved having part of the event on the Summerfest Grounds. However, I did not have a bike to make it easier to get around town. With that said, it would have been possibly a huge benefit to myself and possibly others not from Milwaukee to use the Bus system. I know there was a number to call to find the buses that would take us to Summerfest. I think it would have been easier to have one bus stop for people to go to get on a decicated bus to the Mid or North gate of summerfest. Heck, I would have even settled for a drop off at Discovery World and walked to the Summerfest grounds. The street parties are a great way for those that do not attend Harely events to be part of the magic. The one on Brady street was not advertised so I was not able to work it into my schedule and would like to know about those types of parties in the information given with the tickets. Loved the idea of those learn to ride stations. I like to see them at some of the dealerships at the next anniversary. The ones at Summerfest had lines when I tried a few times on Saturday. One complaint: The naked girls at the Milwaukee Harley Dealership. I was not there to experience it but when my neice turned a corner, all she saw were naked women. She is 14 and is not shocked by a woman's body but was not expecting to see so many just standing around. Once they were painted it was not a big deal. Maybe have the girls waiting to be painted in a covered area?

    After reading reviews

    by hdbiker04 on 9/15/13Summerfest Grounds - Milwaukee,WI

After looking at the reviews, it appears most people enjoyed the dealer celebrations because there was no cost and more vendors. What they don't realize is the Dealers and the Museum have a rally (the Milwaukee Rally) every year, not every 5 years like the Motor company. Corporate won't have outside vendors as they are selling HD products and HD licensed product. It would have been more interesting at the lakefront if they would have had a Motorclothes display or a parts and accessories display. (Similar to Sturgis or Daytona.)
