Hampton Roads Philharmonic Tickets

Truly excellent, this was my first orchestra that I've gone to and I will be back for sure, loved it!

We went with family. Had dinner at Fullers after. Really fun day.

Beautiful theatre, incredible performance! It was my first time seeing the HRP and I’ll definitely be going to their next show.

It was a packed house on a Sunday afternoon. Loved the performance. The seating was comfortable

The concert was stunningly beautiful. The visiting performer was a real treat. The orchestra, all fairly local people, are very talented. The conductor was pleasant and engaging. Our first exposure to this group, we will make sure it's not the last.

The HRP is an orchestra destined for greatness in our area. The piano soloist, Rebecca Willett, will be known world wide! The orchestra and soloist took us on an adventure.

We very much enjoyed our first attendance at an HR Philharmonic performance. Especially enjoyed the utterly talented Guest Artist - Sterling Elliott!

Immensely enjoyed the opening season at the American Theater. The artists are very talented and dedicated to bringing their combined talents to our area.

The performance of the Hampton Roads Philharmonic at the American Theater on Oct. 18 was a wonderful experience. As a rule, community musical groups leave a good deal to be desired. Not so with the HR Phil. Their playing was excellent. The program consisted of 4 (!) new works on the first half and the Dvorak "New World" Symphony (No. 9) on the second. Some people see new music on a program and run out of the room; expecting the worst. I was apprehensive myself, but found the works very listenable and enjoyable. I would strongly suggest that everyone support this new group. They will surely develop into an artistic force to be reckoned with. Kudos to them and their conductor, Steven Brindle. I would recommend that the theater bring in a "sound shell ceiling" whenever large groups like this perform. Much of the sound went up into the fly loft above the stage.
