About

About Guster:

Guster continues supporting its latest new release, Easy Wonderful.  But this tour will also mark the release of a special edition EP including new material and never released rarities.  Since the debut in October, Easy Wonderful peaked at #22 on the Billboard Top 200 and clinched the #2 spot on the Alternative Albums chart.  The album's sunny and extremely hummable first single, "Do You Love Me" was at Top Ten single on the Adult Alternative Album charts, and the band has just released their follow single "Architects and Engineers."  Guster's live performances have become legendary. The group continues to inject humor and heart into every single show they play.

About Jack's Mannequin:

After his hard-working punk-pop quintet Something Corporate decided to take a break in the summer of 2004, Andrew McMahon found himself writing a batch of confessional piano-driven songs that explored his return home to Orange County and his attempt to reconnect with the people he had alienated when he left to tour with Something Corporate. With the help of several musician friends (which included producer Jim Wirt and Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee), McMahon began recording Everything in Transit under the moniker Jack's Mannequin.  Since then, McMahon has gone on to release one other studio album with Jack's Mannequin titled The Glass Passenger, toured with the likes of The Fray and Weezer, released the documentary "Dear Jack" which followed his treatment and recovery from leukemia, and is now prepping to release People and Things, his third studio album (Summer 2011).

    Guster was Fan-fricken-tastic

by HugeGusterFan on 9/10/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Awesome show by Jack's Mannequin and Guster! Very rarely does the opener spark my interest in their band as well, but Lady Danville did just that. With the dual headliners, the concert lasted for over 4 hours...I would have stayed longer if I could have. The inside of the LC Pavilion allowed us to get really close to the stage without having to muscle our way through. Guster is always amazing live and they definitely lived up to if not exceeded my previous experiences.

    Andrew is incredible!

by Shawls on 9/9/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Jack's was amazing! Andrew was such a showmen. Jumping on the piano. That voice. Incredible! The sound in the LC was really good, and there wasn't a bad place to stand. My only complaints are that they closed off the VIP season ticket holder section and only 8 people were in it. They should've opened it after a certain point. Standing and looking at chairs was annoying. Also, I didn't like all the kids under 18. They were taking up coveted rail space on the balcony and ignoring the show, playing on their cell phones. The opening act was eh. And we left before Guster, because it was hot and standing with people pushing up against you and pushing you into the railing was exhausting. The teenagers were the ones pushing us as well.

    Guster and Jack's Mannequin

by Anonymous on 9/7/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Are you kidding? I took my 16 year-old daughter and her friend, who are in love with Jack's Mannequin. I got to experience Lady Danville opening (awesome!) then Jack's M, then GUSTER! Phe-no-men-al! The girls left to go sit down. I stayed where I was and was taken in so much by that music! That energy! Those guys on stage are truly unforgettable. (Not once did my kid tell me to take it down a notch either--which makes it an even cooler experience. ) The 2+ hour drive home was easy buzzing from the night. Guster (et al.) did, in fact, rock the house!

Set kicked ass, Jack's Mannequin should've been the headliner/closer though, they had a way better set and way more people than Guster. opening band (Lady something) was awesome, too, picked up their CD.

I won't La La Lie, the concert was Easy Wonderful

by NotaHipster on 9/6/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

This probably my favorite concert to have ever attended. I've seen both Guster and Jack's in concert before, and they were of course amazing. Together though, it was somethin else. They each played hour long sets, including a few songs done together at the end of each. They both interacted with the crowd a lot to get them going too, which I love. The crowd was great too! I was able to get front row via coming early, and there were very few people pushing at all, but we were all still energetic and singing along. Best possible combination.

This is the first concert that I've been to where all the acts were top-notch! Lady Danville was great, Jack's Mannequin was as awesome as expected and Guster were unforgettable.

    Lady Danville Great. Eardrums ruptured.

by MrMiko on 9/6/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Loved the opening act, Lady Danville. Jack's Mannequin sounded like a wall of noise, with the lead singer posturing ridiculously on the stage. Guster contrasted with nice, tight composition and a more natural stage presence. The volume increased with each successive act, from pleasantly loud to pain-inducing levels. Would not return to the event site without heavy duty earplugs.
