Don't see a big name artist here

by LJ773 on 10/4/17Downtown Gretna - Gretna Heritage Festival - Gretna

The venue simply isn't prepared to move in and out the number of people that attend a big name concert like KISS. The RTA transportation situation is a mess, the seating is a hassle, and the lines for anything from beer to bathrooms are unmanageable. Just like other festivals that grow too large without proper planning unfortunately Gretna Fest now fits the description as well. Go see the small artist, check out Gretna but skip the main events.

    Best Festival in the South!

by LauraBlondie on 10/4/17Downtown Gretna - Gretna Heritage Festival - Gretna

This festival was truly amazing. Gretna Heritage absolutely knows how to treat a VIP! The music was awesome, quite a wide range to cater to all the tastes across the board. We traveled nine hours and stayed all three days. It is a great festival and have had some really great shows. KISS live in your face hanging right on the rail, it often costs a whole lot more than this for such privilege! We saw Huey Lewis, Pat Benatar, B-52s, and KISS all that weekend and had front row access each time. People in Louisiana are very friendly and lots of fun! I recommend most highly the VIP pass as you get food and drinks too!

I was denied entry due to the fact I showed up with a DSLR camera. Never been an issue in the past.

    Music -Yes, Fest- No

by Miri2017 on 10/4/17Downtown Gretna - Gretna Heritage Festival - Gretna

This was our first time at this fest. We purchased the 3 day pass and for the price for three great bands it was good. But for the actual Fest, we will not attend it again. Not enough free parking, too spread out for what they offered. Not enough craft booths to keep interest. Food trucks were expensive and too far away from main stage events. The rides and games for the kids were way overpriced and the workers were extremely rude and not happy with what they were doing. We spent literally $200 for two days, not counting the ticket passes. That did not include food. Sorry, but we did want to like the fest, but we will not attend again.
