    Wonderful event odd ADA seating

by Christy on 9/11/22Timmons Arena - Greenville

I purchased seats for this event and was ready excited that the ada seating was in our families row. When we arrived i quickly realized the ada seat was right next to a wall, next to a bright led billboard and a trash can. It was the worst seat in the house. I felt gutted for my daughter as i never would have purchased this seat had I known. The staff was wonderful at helping find us seats that were much better.

    Simply splendid symphony

by Donna B on 9/11/22Timmons Arena - Greenville

What an absolute lovely evening! Such a talented conductor and a wonderful selection. There was something for everyone- classical, patriotic , whimsical and inspirational music. It inspired many of us to dust off our old instruments.

    Mixed...

by pabst on 9/11/22Timmons Arena - Greenville

the Greenville Symphony AND Keith Lockhart but the venue didn't do either justice. An arena doesn't have the sound system nor the acoustics needed for this concert. Additionally, the seats are more than uncomfortable!

    Pleasant Surprise

by Shelley on 9/11/22Timmons Arena - Greenville

This was our first concert of the Symphony. Everything about Thursday's performance of the Greenville Symphony was excellent! From the price and ease of getting tickets, to the venue, the conductor, the lineup, and the orchestra....just a spectacular performance. We will return to future shows!

    Not worth the price

by Ettagal on 7/11/14Charter Amphitheatre - Simpsonville

We bought our tickets based on the fact that we could pick our own seats. However, when we got there, because not very many people bought tickets, the area was condensed to a few rows. The rows were crammed right up in front of the huge speakers even though they could have moved the whole section back at least 20 feet. We asked if we could move our chairs and we moved back with the people sitting on the lawn (who only paid a parking fee to get in). The concert was great; fireworks also. Definitely would go again, but sit in the free seats! Do not pay for reserved seating as it is only folding chairs that they can arrange any way they want. Also our tickets said preferred parking (there was no such area). There was food included which was chicken fingers, and cheese quesadillas. Soda, water & certain wines also included. Sweet tea and Pepsi products were there, but if you wanted those, you had to pay for them. So only Coke products were free, not all sodas.

    Redeemed!

by 68grad on 7/14/13Charter Amphitheatre at Heritage Park - Simpsonville

I posted a review of the Fourth of July Independence Day earlier and labeled it "Busted." I received a nice phone call from a representative of the Greenville Symphony apologizing for my disappointment in the event. There were several problems that occurred that had no back up plan, so those problems elevated to a disappointing experience for the ones of us who stayed through the rains and delays to hear a concert and see fireworks. Several people must have complained. Long story being made short, I was assured that the money I paid for the tickets would be refunded. Yes, I have been refunded the money I paid for the tickets! If you charged your tickets, check you charge account and you may see the credit for the tickets. If you bought your tickets at the park or at a ticketmaster outlet, you will need to show those tickets to the appropriate place to receive your refund. I love it when an agency does the right thing, and stands behind their word!

    Fiasco

by SadnSimpsonville on 7/10/13Charter Amphitheatre at Heritage Park - Simpsonville

Worst concert I've ever attended. They weren't prepared for rainy weather, which was forecast for several days. Symphony orchestras don't mix with outdoor amphitheaters. They sent the string musicians home before starting when rain began to fall during introductions. They shortened the playlist to only two pieces, with brass only. And then the fireworks didn't happen due to an electrical problem, according the Greenville News. Suggest they plan for only a brass band in the future. And weatherproof the fireworks.

    Rained out!

by Soggyconcertgoer on 7/8/13Charter Amphitheatre at Heritage Park - Simpsonville

After a massive amount of rain, (2.5 inches!) they finally let us into the venue. Contrary to all past experience of concerts at Heritage park, they confiscated our bottled water, for which there had been no advance notice. Bottled water was on sale for FOUR DOLLARS A BOTTLE! We had barely set up on the lawn, when rain resumed. (Fortunately we were prepared with ponchos and umbrellas. One false start, and much rain later, they finally gave an abbreviated concert of two pieces, with stringed instruments missing, and then the fireworks failed to go off. (Despite the fact we could see successful fireworks displays all over, going on despite the rain.) All in all our worst experience at Heritage park, but you can't control the weather. It's the confiscation of the water that really pissed me off, there was no advance notice of this policy change, and no possible reason except to enrich the concessions stand.

    Washout

by Anonymous on 7/8/13Charter Amphitheatre at Heritage Park - Simpsonville

A complete waste of time and money, we were told the event would run rain or shine and purchased a table. Before we left home I checked again to make sure it was running. We had one plate of food and two drinks, one piece from the Orchestra and no fireworks and it cost me $300.00 Absolutely awful.

The flyer said "rain or shine", but the event was washed out. Two songs without strings and no fireworks doesn't add up to "rain or shine". A major disappointment.
