JMU and Hampton appeared to be equally matched - but not very good. I expected a close game between VCU and VA Tech. Turned out not to be very exciting unless you were a VCU fan. Fortunately I do root for VCU - what an amazing game. VA Tech couldn't buy a basket.
It was a great tournament! Great games and great food. It was a great time overall
The VCU band is worth going to see forget the band. They should have battle of bands prior to games
Little disappointed in turn out for first game 'cause it was a good game too. However, the 2nd game was dynamic. Lots of action, good basketball.
overall great event for first time. next time try to fill the coliseum. give tickets away or ask ticket purchers to donate. foodbank theme was super but consider year of the child next time...
Really enjoyed the game. The price was reasonable as well. Looking forward to next year. I think more people would have come out if it was not during Christmas Break. Maybe a little earlier so that those who would benefit from the event would get help during the holiday instead of after.
Exciting Even though UVA lost. George Mason hitting a last minute shot was exciting. L
We saw 2 good basketball games, but the venue was not satisfactory. The colliseum is old and dated. In particular, the scoreboard is horrible. A video screen to show the action live as well as replays from time to time is definitely needed. Even the ads that display there are blurry, as is the list of players / points / fouls. Other stats would be nice to see as well. These games should have been played at a different arena, such as the Seigel Center. The tickets were way overpriced for the quality of the event. A real halftime show would be nice too.
