This was my first time at a WIDU Anniversary event. The Gospel Celebration was great. And great artists on the bill for a great price.

    WIDU is Awesome

by Fireout on 10/15/12Crown Center - Fayetteville

My wife and I had a great time. Every part of the event was out standing. We enjoyed the gospel musical groups and also the WORD which was very enlighten to our soul. Next year we are expecting to get more involved and participate in the whole week event leading up to the Saturday event. I would highly recommend this event to everyone.

We thought this was going to be a concert, not a taping of the show that I could have seen for free on television the next day. The pricing should have reflected a flat rate which would have been appropriate because it was a taping, not a concert. We paid for the $99 seats because we thought that we were going to get a full concert show without interruptions. In the future, please make sure that you advertise that this is a taping of the show that will be aired the next day on television.

    Enjoyed the night

by Hosanna on 2/7/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

I loved the line up but I was shocked to learn that while Fantasia was headlining, she sang 2 songs in 4 hours. I wanted to hear more music for the amount of money I spent.

    NFL Super Bowl Gospel Celebration

by Mind2soul on 2/6/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

It was an amazing night. I loved hearing the testimonies from the football players. The Christian Comedian was the best I've heard in a long time. CeCe was a great host. All the artists were great but I did have reservations about Fantasia being in the lineup for a christian program with her well publicized relationship with a married man. The christian faith is a way of life not just a song.

    Superbowl Gospel celebration slow moving

by Crosby12 on 2/6/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

I was so disappointed in the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. I paid $115.00 for my ticket expecting a concert of performers. What I got was mostly talking and very little singing. It was obvious the audience was only there to clap and help with the televised broadcast. An artist or group would sing a song and then we would wait 15-20 minutes before the next group came on stage! They should not have charged for the tickets. It was obvious that we were there for the clapping and cameras. Also, they advertised Wayne Brady as being the MC. He was not there!

    Gospel event

by mudlj on 2/6/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The taping aspect was tedious and ticket price for this event was too expensive considering the taping, and repetitiveness of some of the event.

    Disappointed

by GrndmaR on 2/5/12Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The fact that this was a TV taping concert was disappointing. Nothing in the info at the point of sale of these tickets indicated that fact. I thought it was strictly a worship concert for the ticketholders. For this type of event the tickets were too expensive. No real concert effect because of all the interruptions for TV production during what should have been a real worship experience. The last hour was finally concert-like, but the first two hours were not. At the time of sale of tickets in December, Wayne Brady and CeCe Winans were advertised. The deletion of Brady and the addition of Rev Run was disappointing for me.
