    Loved it

    by ilanier3 on 8/12/14Mezzanine - San Francisco

The show was awesome. The guy that went before Gold Panda, (I didn't catch his name) but he was also pretty good. He had some pretty catchy music. Gold Panda came up shortly after the first act and ruled. One thing I love about coming to the concert is that he mixes his normally 4 minute songs into a longer version of the song. My favorite song by Gold Panda is Quitters Raga which is normally a minute and a half, IMO is too short. So coming to the show and hearing a longer version was def worth it. One thing I didn't like was the crowd talked a lot. I'm not very tall about 5'8" and I had to move around a few times to get to a spot where there weren't people blocking my view every 30 seconds to talk into their friends ear. Also, Gold Panda didn't do an encore, but I blame the crowd since people clapped for about a minute after he left then everyone started talking and dispersing. I got to see Gold Panda last year while in Dallas, IMO much better crowd. Smaller and there was an encore.

Gold Panda was amazing!! The first opener was good but Slow Magic was GARBAGE. It was prerecorded music to a guy playing a snare and bass drum. BUT Gold Panda live is a sight to behold. The venue is also pretty nice for a new place

Gold Panda at The Fonda Theatre

by Ambiguous420 on 9/25/13The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

Gold Panda's auditory impression has this radiant energy that is difficult to describe to most people; I like to call it "chilled-out electronica," but even that label fails to stand up to the richly textured soundscape he creates. A great testament to his ability to make you FEEL his music; it isn't too loud or raucous, but it's still the most intense musical experience. Slow Magic, the last opening act before GP went on, is a kaleidoscopic mask-wearing, drum-thrasher, whose musical style belongs to the nascent "glo-fi" genre.

Gold Panda killed it. Threw down a great dance set. Slow Magic's energy was awesome. And the Fonda had a bumping sound system. Very clear and loud. Great event.

    Shigeto

by Satatat64 on 8/5/12Bowery Ballroom - New York

I came to see Golda panda, but Shigeto, the opener rocked. Gold panda was good too, but it sounded like a robot figuring out how to scratch an album for the first time at some points. Am I the only one?

by Darny on 8/4/12Bowery Ballroom - New York

My friends an I went to see Gold Panda, we'd never seen them live before so it was already an experience in itself. The opening acts we weren't really familiar with but they were crazy good! Beacon and Shigeto... Def thumbs up. I love shows at Bowery, good vibes, good people, 2 bars... Hahaha. We had so much fun.. Awaiting our next excuse to go again.
