    Glamorama rocks!!

by KTowers on 8/4/14State Theatre - Minneapolis

This was the second year that my daughter and I attended Glamorama. We look forward to it next year again - what a great mother/daughter event to attend together. We felt as if we were contributing to a good cause(cancer research)and had a blast dancing to the music and viewing the awesome fashions!!

    where's patron?!

by jennog on 8/4/14State Theatre - Minneapolis

We have been attending Gamorama (and the after party) for the last 3yrs. We kept coming back because it was a really fun time. This year however was miserable. The audience talked loudly thru the entire show. The women in front of me txt'd the entire show with a light brighter then the sun shining up. The after party was cheaply done. Patron was replaced by Skyy and every thing suffered. The food was just odd, mushy, over or under seasoned, cheaply done etc. The photobooth (usually a high point) was down right stupid. The props were childish and not at all classy as years past. There is usually a party bag to take home at the exit but just water this year? weird. They were handing out marketing give aways in the event, why? Who in their party dresses and clutch bags has room for this? The only remaining standard were the models. The models mingled and were very energetic and held the attention. Unless Patron comes back I will not be attending next year.

Fun show, but short for the price!

by Kasshar on 8/4/14State Theatre - Minneapolis

I enjoyed the fashion show, the sets were all very cool. My favorite part of the show was hello kitty with the kids dancing. I'm glad the fashion show was the amount of time that it was, but I wish that Jason would've performed for a longer amount of time- he only did 3 songs!

    Music was ear shattering!

by Corkietoo on 8/4/14State Theatre - Minneapolis

I have gone to this event for many years now and this was the worst! It is now geared to a much younger crowd and the fashions are on stage for 20 seconds or less, the models move so fast and the lighting was so poor so that fashions looked like they were in a fog. I will not go again.

The designers featured this year were a great choice for variety, interest and function.

    Not so great anymore

by Ithinkwearedone on 9/15/13Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

We've been going for about 6 years now and might not go next year. We donate additional dollars to AIDS charities so at least that won't change. Our issue with the new format is the theater. Although beautiful, we feel the Barker Hanger was a better venue for the event because it made you feel like you were part of a real fashion show. The runway set up was so much more impressive than the current stage set up. Don't get me wrong, the Orpheum theater and stage look beautifu, but it doesn't feel like a fashion show anymore. At this point, it's more about the entertainment. I'm assuming Glamorama moved to the Orpheum because they could sell more tickets? I think what we liked more about the Barker hanger was that even to normal income people such as ourselves in the $75 ticket seats, we could still enjoy the fashion since it didn't seem soooo far away like it is in the Orpheum. I coordinated 26 people to come to this show..all in different seating areas of course, and we all felt similar. It was fun to see the BSB and cirque, but we would rather have the feel of a fashion show instead. I think this 6th year will be our last. Oh. By the way, what was the point of such a short presentation with the underwear guys...might as well of extended it and also added female models if you were going to do it at all. Again we will continue to support HIV/AIDS services in other ways probably. Unless the venue changes.

    Glamorama 2013 was the best!!!

by nelslinda on 8/7/13State Theatre - Minneapolis

The show was great. The sound system wasn't as good as it has been at the Orpheum. Sheryl Crow's band was very loud before she came on stage. The clothes were gorgeous and were very wearable in MN. It was really nice to be so close to Macy's for the After Show.

Can't wait for the next one!

by AnnieBnice on 8/5/13State Theatre - Minneapolis

Fabulous!. What a great show for such a great cause.... Fundraising has never been more enjoyable. The after party was the best, the DJ had great music, Patron had great drinks, and thank God Macy's provided flip flops to rescue my feet!

    Overall, quite good

    by LMF111 on 8/5/13State Theatre - Minneapolis

Great show, mediocre seats. It seemed better when it is at the Orpheum. Crowd was more casual than in the past. They need to glam it up!
