Gilberto Gil Tickets

Terrific show! Expert musicianship, beautiful setting and great sound.

Gilberto Gil was delightful! Modern takes on traditional samba. The band was very cool and were clearly enjoying every moment. So did I! The acoustics were great and the volume was just right. Happily, not ear splitting!!

In typical style Gilberto Gil provided a wonderful performance. Overall show was on the mellow side with him covering classic Samba tunes. His three supporting musicians were great too. To be honest what I enjoyed most were his last five songs where he performed his original songs. Really great performer and like The Rolling Stones seems to get better with age.

Incredible show....Gilberto is so energetic and vibrant. It was so beautiful to be transcended to Brazil through his music. I cannot wait to see him again.

My choice of seat BCR were great and the venue divine. The downside Royce Hall allows people to be seated during performance quite an interruption.

I've been an avid listener of Gilberto Gil for decades, however, had never heard his work live. While listening to Gilberto and all the musicians in his group during the second song, it was clear to me that a musicial genious was in the room. I had not heard a more talented and musical performer, writer, arranger and joyful lover of music in years! What a privilege to be in the same room and hear every note! That being said, it is unfortunate that the Royce Hall room acoustics leave a lot to be desired. Also, the sound man did not have the levels adjusted well. In other words, the instruments tended to drown out Gilberto's voice, especially when he spoke in-between songs. We could not hear most of what he was saying.

Great venue. I would like to hear more Brazillian Bossa Nova and Jazz with artists such as this one.

The concert was amazing!! I LOVED. I wish Gil could perform here more often.
