    Ghost of the Blues

by Teebird468 on 5/9/16The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

I loved hearing those songs from the past. It brought back soo many memories from my youth! Hearing the voices of each artist made me wish people could sing like that now. The instruments had a mind and soulful voice of their own. I miss them already. Can't wait til they return e

    Ghosts of the Blues

by Jaharro on 5/11/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

A fantastic show. Every singer and musician is excellent! My significant other was not a Blues fan until this show. We couldn't stay in our seats. This show should be seen by everyone!

    Good News, Bad News

by Tunewarrior on 5/11/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

I had high expectations for this performance, and in some ways I was not disappointed. In other ways, however, it was a big letdown. I was expecting a musical play, with a plot and characters, highlighted by great blues performances. I got the performances, but nothing else. There was no plot, no real character development and quite frankly, the staging of the concert was a bit of a mess. It looked more like a dress rehearsal, with all kinds of confusion on stage, and big gaps between performances. The vocal talent was quite good, and the musicians were first rate, but someone needs to hire a writer, a producer and a director. If you aren't a huge blues fan, take a pass. If you are, maybe you can put up with confusion and enjoy the music. Just don't concern yourself with the fact that some of the characters are singing the songs other characters made famous. Great concept and talent, but really a mess.

    Ghost wasworth the price

by FWK75 on 5/11/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - Jacksonville

The show was outstanding and especially the John Lee Hooker music presentation and the remembrance of Robert Johnson. We really enjoyed the show. We were disappointed in the quality of the CD we purchased. It was not worth the price we paid. We will not be buying anymore CDs at these shows.

I enjoyed the show immensely it is an improvement from the first show and the addition of Mud Morganfield made a big difference. As the show continues I expect it to keep getting better definitely worth going to whether or not you are a blues fan.

Led to believe that there was a story line involved telling the history of the Blues. In reality, the show was more or less a "tribute band" performance of various blues performers. Show seem to be unrehearsed with some characters not sure of their parts.

Pass on Ghost of the Blues.

by MikejMc on 2/12/14Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

We love the Blues, but thought that this show was amateurish and lacked direction. We left before the show was over. The idea seemed like a good one, but the show followed no historical timeline, included a questionable selection of songs that were always extended way to long. I do acknowledged some great individual musicians. With the emense blues catalog available to this show, the song selection chosen and inclusion of non-blues artists missed the mark and led to a meandering, dull show. What a shame.
