THE GEORGE TAKEI PHENOMENON

Join Star Trek Legend, Social Media Sensation and Human Rights Activist George Takei when he takes the stage for two exciting new shows at Melbourne Town Hall on Thursday November 16 and the State Theatre in Sydney on Monday November 20 in “THE GEORGE TAKEI PHENOMENON” Hosted by Benjamin Law!

In a highly impactful visual experience George will share the behind the scenes secrets of Star Trek, and his fondest and weirdest memories of his life in an entertainment career spanning over 50 years.

What was it really like working with William Shatner in Star Trek and Russell Crowe on his first feature film? What was it like having the legendary Lucille Ball as your boss and sharing the screen with the legendary John Wayne? Share his incredible journey being imprisoned as a child by the U.S Government in its Japanese American internment camps during World War II, to international fame as ‘Hikaru Sulu’ in the original Star Trek TV Series and Films.  Takei is also one of the world’s most influential Social Media stars and influential figures in the fight for social justice, and Marriage Equality.

There will also be an exclusive COCKTAIL PARTY with George Takei in Sydney Hosted by BENJAMIN LAW at the Establishment Ballroom on Saturday November 18 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  Cocktail Party includes 2 hours of Canapes and Beverages, and Music from the 60’s

Those who say there are no second acts in American life don’t know George Takei. His life has offered not just a second act, but a third, fourth and fifth — with many, one hopes, still to come. His journey through pop culture and politics has made him not just a witness, but a prime mover during some of the most critical moments in our history - a true Phenomenon of our times.
