It was an amazing homecoming for Gentlemen Hall

by bostonmayo on 9/11/14Great Scott - Allston

Gentlemen Hall played to a packed, hometown crowd after spending the summer recording their new album in NYC! Clifflight who is also a Boston based band opened for them to the delight of the crowd. They rocked! The place was packed as Hentlemen Hall took the stage just after midnight. Their set was alive and rocking with many new songs intertwined with old favorites. They rocked so hard you could actually feel the floor jumping under your feet. Watch for their new song Kings, their first single, sure to be out soon along with their ep sometime before the new year! These guys are not only a great band but also really cool down to earth guys that love their fans! If you ever have an opportunity to see them live, do it!

    Holidays spent with the locals.

by Whynoteric on 12/17/12The Sinclair - Cambridge

This was the first time my girlfriend and I had stepped foot into the sinclair. We have been to almost every venue that the Boston scene has to offer from the hole in the wall bars to td bank north pavilion. If I were to rank sinclair somewhere between the paradise and house of blues. Possibly in a tie with paradise. The site lines were perfect with all the audiences attention on the stage. It was also nice to see a stage that wasn't covered in beer and vomit from the night or week prior's performance. It was great to see local bands we have has seen many times before preform at this venue. Parlor bells have matured and gotten better like a fine whiskey as the frontman Glenn becomes more and more comfortable on stage. Their only issue came from a wire issue to the lead guitarist guitar. Mellow bravo as always brought down the house with their electrifying hit you in the face rock and roll. Overall I had a great time and I would recommend this venue and these awesome bands to friends.

    Gentlemen Hall is amazing live!

by bostonmayo on 7/3/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Gentlemen Hall was just named Boston's BEST BAND by the Boston Phoenix! This along with their Billboard Battle of the Bands win plus 2 Boston Music Awards have them soaring above all others right now. Gentlemen Hall is one group you must see live! They write and perform all their own songs! They put such energy and love into their performance. You will be dancing the first song and not stopping until the last one. They have a passion for music like no other band. They genuinely love what they do and it shows. They are also a great bunch of guys so make sure you stay after and meet all of them. Don't forget to take their cd home with you. You can relive the night over and over again on the way home in the car. If you have the chance to see them live, DO IT! You won't be sorry!

BMH Needs better sound. Gentleman Hall was A'ight.

by TeenyChicken on 4/10/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I was looking forward to hearing this band, live. I picked up their demo at Cafe Nation in Brighton and their catchy tunes have been stuck in my head ever since. After the show, I decided I was more impressed with their demo than their performance. I will admitt that I was dancing, they played well and had great energy but I thought they could have been "tighter." I also felt like their set was too short. I can't say it was entirely the band though. The sound guy wasn't doing so well. The first band sounded fine but I could barely hear the vocals during Freezepop's performance. The music was just too loud. The venue isn't huge and blasting the music is only going to distort the music and vocals. I could hear the bands clearer when I was out back having a smoke. Sometimes less is more.

The music wasn't as good as I hoped. The thin singer moves more than necessary.
