The overall weekend of activity for the Gateway Classic was Great! The various events scheduled made it a fun weekend. The game was good could have been a little more competitive TSU's team dominated.
GAME WAS A LITTLE LOPSIDED, TENNESSEE DOMINATED, BUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS FANTASTIC. REALLY ENJOYED IT AND WOULD HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ALL. TICKET MASTER WAS EASY TO USE, MADE EVERYTHING EFFORTLESS.
We had a Great Weekend! This event featured 2 HBCU football teams! We tailgate before and after the game and met people from all over the country! Our seats were great however, Tennessee State University was more competition than Central State University could handle! Nonetheless, I would recommend this event to anyone! -jc-
The game was a good chance for the family to enjoy and the half ime show was awesome. We will definitely go again!
There are several Historically Black Schools who have good football teams. As I sat on the Tennessee side and saw the other side almost empty, I wished that the Gateway Classics Foundation had scheduled a team that would give TSU some competition. I think our coach had his third string in during the second half. Many of these teams have a great following. If you looked at the TSU side, It was crowded. Our alumni supports our teams.
The Gateway Classic was not a bad event; however, it could have been a lot better. My family and I arrived at the Edwards Jones Dome for the pre-game party and was disappointed that the so-called party only had a DJ playing music. The party did not have any food or drink to pass out or purchase. What an opportunity missed because a lot of folks showed up and quickly left because of that. The game was a huge mismatch of talent; however, the bands did a great job. I will probably go to the Taste of St. Louis next year instead of the Classic.
HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE GATEWAY CLASSIC! THE PEOPLE OF ST. LOUIS WERE VERY WARM AND WELCOMING!!!! :-)
It was amazing,I loved the half time show,everything was wonderful.
This is the second year I have attended the Classic. I have had a ball each time. I am from a predominately white rural southern community in Tennessee. It is so refreshing to see people of color interact peacably and lovingly and supporting one another. I look forward to next year and plan to get there for at least one night of festivities. The Gospel and Jazz nights seem quite tempting.
This was my first time attending the Gateway Classic. I was impressed with all the activities and the diversity involved in making this event happen. I am glad the classic invloved local MO football schools. That brought in more fans to the event. I look forward to going to next year's classic. I will get my tickets early. Good job for all those leading and organizing the event. It was professionally done.
