Amazing music that is mixed well to keep it consistently fresh and an astounding laser show that has to be seen to be believed.
Gareth Emery never disappoints. I was early looking forward to the famed LSR/City v3 with Gareth and it did not disappoint. Truly an amazing, awesome show with great set. Annabelle being there was cherry on the topping. Warm up set was also fantastic with DJs Mal Blanc and Maximus. Truly an unforgettable and cherishing event !! Will carry this with me for rest of my life.
The show itself was really good, the lasers were amazing. But he only performed from 10:30-12 and then the venue shut down. That’s way too early, there should have been a DJ on after or another opener and Gareth come out later.
Overall it was a good experience but the opening two performers went way too long and we're not great. Once Gareth Emery came it was a blast.
LSR/CITY with Gareth Emery in D.C. was an almost two hour epic show of great trance tracks and incredible lasers. Words really can't describe it all...you had to be there! That said, the setlist was a journey of new (Black and White, Killshot, House in the Streetlight), old (Sansa, Tokyo, Concrete Angel) and remixed classic (Like A Prayer). The beautiful and talented Annabel took the stage to sing Ice Moon, Like A Prayer and the big wow of the night, the closing drop of Elise. With the LSR/CITY tour, it's clear that Gareth Emery is not just a great dj, but a top creative producer, designer and artist. He is unique in this space and should be rated at the very top of the genre...and more!! Awesome and memorable. 'Nuf said!!
The show was spectacular, and I highly recommend it, but echostage and/or ticketmaster oversold the show to the point i could not move my arms at the very back of tje crowd. Any time someone needed to move, it was a team effort to not fall or lose balance. I've never seen a show that was this packed, and I travel for festivals and shows year round, and i honestly was afraid of being trampled if anything happened that got the crowd too riled up.
Great show! Gareth Emery is one of my favorite DJs. He managed to pass on to the public not only grat music but also great emotions. It felt amazing!
I have been a fan of Gareth's for the last couple of years. Amber Sun, Sansa, and This is Not The End are some of my favorite progressive house tracks of all time. However, this concert was just not it. The bass was so incredibly loud that it shook me to my core and drowned out all the higher notes and melodies, which is what makes Gareth's music so good. I could barely distinguish the songs from each other. If you listen to his albums, it's not the stuff that raves are made of, yet the show tried to do that. The recordings on my phone sound better than the live show at Echostage, which speaks very poorly to the mixing. My friends and I left early, which I have never done at a concert. I give 2 stars for the lasers which were incredible. But at the end of the day, I came for the music and did not get that.
This is my third time going to see him and it just keeps getting better and better. The lasers and graphics used during his show were on point! Went to his show when it was first Laser Face and again last year. This year was definitely worth it and I'll be seeing him again in Austin, TX at the end of March.
