A benefit for kids that repeatedly mocked kids?

by DisappointedInBrooklyn on 3/31/24The Theater at MSG - New York

I love laughs. I was even born on April Fools Day, so I come by it naturally. So I was excited by the chance to see all of these comics at one time and to help support a benefit while I was at it. But wow was I disappointed. So comics who have kids now use their set to complain about their kids during a benefit for...kids? Tone deaf, maybe, or just too lazy to tailor their set to the occasion? And the one female comic apparently was having a serious case of FOMO from not being in the boys' club as her solution was to be raunchier than any of the male comics were. What a wasted opportunity.

Fun time - lots of laughs

by Aldo the Gargoyle on 3/31/24The Theater at MSG - New York

My wife and I attended the Garden of laughs and I for one was not disappointed. We'll be digging into the stand-up specials and You Tube clips and looking for more live shows! Our fave of the night was Michael Che. Chris Distefano, had me laughing pretty hard.

    Bad seats

by Jim on 3/30/24The Theater at MSG - New York

Show was great. Unfortunately the actual seats in the theatre must be from 20/30 years ago. Mine actually had a cigarette burn in it Very uncomfortable .

    Great show, bad seats

by Mike on 3/30/24The Theater at MSG - New York

Overall, the show was great. There was an issue with the teleprompter but that stuff happens. The presenters and comedians were all so good. My only issue was that the entire left wing could not see the presenters because the podium was placed so far to the left on the stage. The seats themselves are designed so that you can't see that part of the stage but the podium could have been placed elsewhere. The tickets are already expensive at this venue so it really makes it difficult to justify shows if you want to avoid the bad seats. Having said all that, the comedians more than made up for it!

    Very disappointing!

by Flexy on 3/30/24The Theater at MSG - New York

I was very excited about going to see some of my favorite comedians. The presenters were an unexpected bonus. But every single comedian had a set that was weak. It seemed like they only found out they were doing the show five minutes in advance and didn't have time to write any material. Honestly, I would have preferred hearing old stuff than sit through this boring show. I hope the charity (which I'd never heard of and was very vaguely described) was real. It's the only reason I gave the show any stars at all.

    Great fun!!

by Debwex on 3/30/24The Theater at MSG - New York

Event was great fun. Comedians were mostly awesome. Staff at the arena were very friendly and tried to be helpful. However assisted hearing device didn’t work and to return it you had to wait for everyone to exit and bring it to an office up front. Usually they are returned on the way out

Funny times for a great cause

by HaHa on 4/8/19Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

A great early graduation present, I was fully entertained from beginning to end. The performances were remarkable and they never made you forget what all of this was going towards. A wonderful night filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

Beyond what I could have hoped for

by S. W. on 4/6/19Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Incredible event with all-star lineup! Could not have asked for more. The presenters added a very nice touch. Being able to see Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Iliza Schlesinger and Brian Regan. Then having an all-star lineup doing the introductions, more than could have hoped for. Will look for this event as a reason to visit New York again! It was that good!
