    Better than expected

    by Steve on 8/9/23

Willi Carlisle was great, as expected. I only wish he had a longer set. But the opening acts - Asling & Jim along with Remedy Tree - were worth the ticket price by themselves. The Gamble Rogers Festival folks keep bringing great talent to the stage!

    Excellent music

    by Craig on 8/8/23

The opening acts Allizyn and Remedy Tree were outstanding!! Willi Carlisle was so uniquely talented that I was in awe! Loved it! Will not miss it if it is available again!

    RT BLOWS THEM AWAY AGAIN

by MUNG54 on 5/2/11Downtown St. Augustine - St. Augustine

WE WENT TO THE SATURDAY NIGHT VENUE AT THE BAYFRONT MARINA STAGE. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED THAT IT WAS OUTDOOS AND THAT THE ACOUSTICS WOULD BE BAD. THE VENUE TURNED OUT TO BE PERFECT! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT! WE SAW SAM PACETTI PLAY MASTERFULLY AS ALWAYS AND THEN MICHAEL RENO HARRELL WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE - GREAT STORIES! RICHARD THOMPSON WAS IMPECCABLE AS ALWAYS - I KNOW THE CROWD WAS IN AWE, AS I WAS. I AM A LONG TIME FAN AND EVEN THOUGH RICHARD WAS GREAT, I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED A DIFFERENT SETLIST.

    Excellent event

by Grammypappytiff on 5/1/11Downtown St. Augustine - St. Augustine

We enjoyed many great acts. Wish we could have been more than one place at a time. Great that we did not have to carry our chairs... plenty of great seating. My 2nd year to travel from PA for this great event!

    Great Festival

by music2go on 5/1/11Downtown St. Augustine - St. Augustine

Any of the 3 days would have been worth the price for the entire weekend. A great line up of talented folk and bluegrass musicians, with some blues thrown in for good measure. Many of the performers were local, but many were from Nashville or beyond and although the sets are shortish (40 minutes to an hour 15) you can't beat the Gamble Rogers Festival for good music.

Gamble Rogers Folk Fest Newport bargain

by DrSax68 on 5/1/11Downtown St. Augustine - St. Augustine

3 days of beautiful weather in downtown St Augustine. What can you say about great seats for Richard Thompson and many more great musicians. The best dollar bargain in music I have ever spent, Actually I should discourage people as another nice thing...no huge crowds. Just a great vibe...count me in for next year!
