Beloved Mexican-American comedian Gabriel Iglesias is a man of many talents, and he employs them all in his uproarious stand-up act. In addition to being a gifted storyteller Iglesius is a master of funny voices and absurd sound effects, and his unexpected noises never fail to have audiences in stitches at his live shows. Whether he's poking fun at his obesity by calling himself "Fluffy" or telling hilarious anecdotes about his high school reunion, Iglesias is a lighthearted performer who always brings the laughs on his acclaimed tours.
San Diego-born Gabriel Iglesias grew up all over southern California before his family settled in Long Beach. Against the advice of his mother he left his job with a cell phone company in 1997 to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Despite losing his home and his car while struggling to make a name for himself as a comedian, his hard work and persistence paid off -- in 2000 he got his break on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That. By 2003 he'd landed his own special on Comedy Central, firmly establishing himself as one of stand-up’s brightest new talents. A flurry of TV and film appearances followed, including a successful run on the series Last Comic Standing and a role in the racy 2012 film Magic Mike. Despite his on-screen success, Iglesias remains true to his stand-up roots with continued performances at concert halls around the country.
