Not a fan of DJ Dave. Weird energy overall, seemed like everyone was trying to get into it, but the music and anticlimactic beat drops kept ruining it... people kept leaving so my friend and I left too. The acts were cool, but only for a couple of minutes each. The $50 VIP ticket was not worth it either, they still made us wait in line. Overall I had an okay time though.
So things started off where when purchasing the tickets the floor area was highlighted but it actually put me in the balcony section, this happened to a lot of people and ended up splitting up our group. We ended up getting down to the floor anyways but that’s when it became like a rock concert where rather tha dancing it was a lot of shoving and jumping with no room to dance. After about an hour and a half, all the songs sounded the same that everyone got bored. Left early and watching the streets- so did probably half the people attending.
The artist lineup was spectacular! This event makes it a point to showcase the very best local talent, and Glow Boston did not disappoint!! In general, I had a blast dancing, meeting new people, hanging out with friends... it's just a great party! The kind of music played is along the lines of vocal/progressive/mainstream/electro house music, and it's done very well, without being cheesy (this is NOT four hours of back to back David Guetta and Avicci anthems, LOL). If you're looking to just let loose for a few hours at a great party with great people, this is it!
