MORE INTERNATIONAL SOCCER GAMES IN FLORIDA! great experience!
We had a great time. As one of the few anglos there is was a sporting and cultural event at the sametime. The hispanic fans were a blast and super friendly. The soccer (futbol) was great quality as well. Although, the field at Everbank is too small!!!
Keep the matches coming Jax needs more soccer!!! Everbank is a great place to watch soccer. Looking forward to doing it again.
when El Salvador play in rfk stadium its like playing back home.
I think it was a great game even though im from el salvador and we lost. It was a hype game and im planning to go to more games cause theres alot of suspense and exciting moments when you think who is going to win and there was alot of people there cheering for el salvador which made me feel good being from there.
The event was to some extend organized (the stadium was divided by two sections, the section for the ppl of El Salvador and another one for the Venezuelans), If you were rooting for a specific team you were not allowed to sit in the opposite section. Everything was fine until the ppl in favor of El Salvador invaded the Venezuelan side (the venezuelan side wasn't even a quarter of the side of the opposing team) yet they wanted to come seat there. They were throwing things to the Venezuelans, being disrespectful and vulgar. I saw security and police officers trying to take control of the situation, which was great but not enough. The caos could of been avoided if they would of been strict about where ppl had to seat (each country staying within their section). Not all Salvadoreans were bad, but the majority sure was and it just became a scary place to be at if you were for the opposing team.
my kids really enjoyed it and i loved too it was a great experience for them
The match was good, a little on the low level, Venezuela brought only local player, nobody from the main team (the one from Copa America 2011) only "Maestrico" Gonzalez; and the Salvador team "La Selecta" was missing several main player. The only complain I have is that the Salvadorian Fan are very passionated, and although this was just a friendly match they were aggressive toward Venezuelan Fan, throwing cans, bottle, ice and stuff, even to the security staff (when they tried to break up a fight between Salvadorian fans and they were trying to take them out of the stadium). I want to mention also that was not all the Salvadorian fan that have that attitude, I will say it was only a very small group, the rest were very supportive to the Venezuelan crowd. I'll go again, however maybe a good idea to have a larger number of security staff. Thanks,
