    FURTHUR ROCKED MY WORLD!

by VDub757 on 4/14/10Hampton coliseum - Virginia beach

The show was amazing from the beginning to the end. Started with Shakedown, to Dire wolf, west LA fade away and so many more amazing jams in between and ended with Bid you good night, that brought goose bumps to my skin and made my eyes a bit misty. I cnt explain how great Jon Kadlecik was at lead. He puts his own style on each note while staying true to the roots and soul of the song. He doesnt try to be Jerry, but he always keeps him in mind. Every one there was loving the tunes and for a moment, we were all one, with the music. I love the Hampton coliseum and when I walked in the atmosphere was so pure, everyone was there to have a good time, sing and laugh together and even stop one another just to shake their hands or to give a big hug. I truly had an amazing time and I can wait to see them in July at ALLGOOD. the set won’t be as packed with classics, most bands don’t go all out for festies, but it will still be a glimpse of the magic I felt the coliseum. Thanks for coming to the 757 guys!

    They still have it!

by SunnyBunny on 4/10/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

70 years old and still going strong! They are still as amazing as ever. The concert was a blast the people and the atmosphere is fantastic. This is a concert that can please many different generations, there were people of all ages from babies to elderly people all dancing and singing alone to the same old grateful dead songs we know and love and few new ones that are equally as timeless! Two Thumbs up for sure!

    Phil walked right past me

by hippiechick56 on 3/26/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

The show was absolutely wonderful. I correctly predicted the boys would open with Ripple, and Phil walked right past me prior to the start of the show. It was a magical night. It was like going home again after a long absence.

    Furthering the Experience

by 2Real4U on 3/21/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Amazing show. Three sets was a big surprise for me. I have to admit, it made up for the first set though. An all acoustic set is fine by me... but an all ballad set, is, well, boring and a downer. Why do bands get the idea that all acoustic means ballads, I don't know. As I said though, the next two rocking sets made up for it. The Black Crow's Chris Robin added to the magic and the new Jerry replacement is fantastic. (I'm pretty sure that was Chris Robinson. Kind of funny his name is Christopher Robins) Over all great show.

Happy Birthday Phil! That was the best party ever!

by JLocz on 3/19/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

It felt like my birthday too! I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing, what my ears were hearing, and what my body was feeling. I had a smile from ear to ear the entire night. It was the most awesome journey I could have never imagined. Rejuvenation is the word that comes to mind- I feel like a kid again... and that's what it's all about! Peace, Grateful Goddess

You got to see a little FURTHUR......

by gratefulygroovin on 3/17/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

After spending the better part of the last 3 decades livning, eating, breathing all things Grateful Dead, it was amazing to see how much energy Phil and Bobby gave to us that night. They are playing with a presence that is almost surreal. The additon of Steve, Chris, and Jackie that night added even more flavor and depth to the already powerful Furthur project. To sing Happy Birthday to Phil was a tear jerker. Comes a time....Jerry was surely smiling down on us all.

    FURTHUR & FRIENDS GO FURTHUR

by HappyBobcat on 3/17/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

A rare and important musical performance in celebration of Phil Lesh's 70th birthday. You had to be there; and it didn't matter what you were wearing :)

    70 and better than ever!

by californiadreaming1 on 3/17/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

The times they are a changin'. Who would have thought that Grandpa could rock the house like that? With people ranging from all ages and all generations, it was a great party. Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes and Jackie Greene made this a special night. Not like the boys need any help, but it put the show into OVERDRIVE! From Sugaree to Hard to Handle to Morning Dew to Attics of My Life.....3 sets until 2 am...with a parade and a party to remember...Thanks Phil for keeping it alive....Happy 70th....

    Had a blast!

by DirtyJeff on 3/17/10Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

It was my wife's birthday and very cool that we front row for the birthday carnival parade! The band was tight, but my wife got tired, so we missed Franklin's Tower. Bummer!
