Enjoyed seeing some of the original funk musicians play. It was nice to see folks jamming on the horns and guitars. Some of the older singers still had great vioces and that was a pleasant surprise.
The opening acts were good. Bar kays, Dazz Band, mary jane girls were great. When George Clinton came out, the sound system must have failed somewhere. The sounds suck, and there was no structure to what they were playing. They start playing Flash Light, go into Knee Deep, another song, then back to Knee Deep. I was confused.
I was disappointed in George Clinton. I really thought he would put on a better show. His back up singers looked a hot mess. There where people all over the stage and backstage that the audience could see. At one point this lady in a black leather coat and hat came out on stage and hugged him in the middle of the show. I guess the hug couldn't wait. His back up singers kept leaving the stage and not coming back right on key. This show seemed like a first time show of someone that had never, never been on stage before and had no idea of how to put on a performance. I really felt that they didn't care about our city to put on a great performance. This is the worst one I've seen.
I had a great time. It was a Party!!! Oh my, there is no party like a old school party! I had a blast. Dancing and singing to all the old school jams.
This may have been the concert of the Year so far All acts were great Ohio Players, Con Funnksion, Dazz Band, Mary Jane Girls,BarKays, George Clinton P-Funk 4hrs of fun and Funk. Need I say more.
horrible show...went to see con funk shun....didn't know they would be onstage with bar-kays and mary jane girls......unfunny comedian kept calling them mary j blige........didn't stay to see George Clinton had enough
The show was nice and entertaining! I would recommend to friends. Sir Nose was the best part of the performance.

Went to the funk festival on Saturday. Thg\e show was 4hr's long and I can only say it was fantastic. It was nice to see real musicians playing instruments.. Enjoyed all the acts and believe me the funk was flowing. I would go to see again when it returns. This was a gift to a friend who helps me take care of my mom and he enjoed it immensley.
Great concert!! Disappointed the Ohio Players didn't perform.
