    My 1st live boxing match!

by scrapcastlequeen on 9/7/17Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - Hinckley

Omg! First, I want to say that I had an amazing time in Hinckley. I am a die hard pugilistic sports fan and this was my first live experience. Our seats were in the 3rd row which put us up close and personal with the fighters and their families. I was so surprised to see referee Mark Nelson was one of the officials! He is in my top 5 of current best refs. The weather was a bit of a concern, but the rain held off for the fights. Even though the matches were held outdoors in the amphitheater, it was great! My only venue disappointment was the concessions. Nothing but hotdogs and popcorn. Yuck! The best part of my night was after the fights when the boyfriend and I ran into Mark Nelson in the casino. THANK YOU MR. NELSON FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TALK WITH ME AND ALLOWING ME TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOU! Definitely will be attending more boxing here!

    fight good, seats bad

by Oldman43 on 3/29/14Morongo Casino Resort and Spa - Cabazon

the fights were great and the facilities for the most part good; however we had seats behind the corner post on the side the camera man stands- good view of his backside, bad view much of time of fighters whom we actually came to see. Also the card girls all need to be taken out for a good meal as they were a little on the lean side. Plan on going again, but next time not at these seats!

FNF Come Back to US Cellular ASAP!!

by SweetScience84 on 8/26/13U.S. Cellular Field - Chicago

Friday Night Fights at US Cellular Field is the first step to making Chicago the boxing mecca that it once was. Unbelievable bouts without a doubt ! The atmosphere was simply electric. Had the pleasure of having my gloves signed by none other than the boxing professor Teddy Atlas himself. Cannot put into words how it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Cannot wait until they come back to the windy city. This fan will be waiting with a ticket in hand.

Good Fights, Good Food, Friday Night Fun

by Tigerbone on 8/20/13U.S. Cellular Field - Chicago

Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Went with my wife, daughter, mother and brother, it was a family outing for mom's birthday and my daughter going back to college. The fights were pretty evenly matched skill level wise so they were interesting to watch because heart and determination counted for a lot in the outcome of each fight. There was a lot of blood too, more than I usually see on Friday Night Fights. Maybe more experienced cut-men should be called in next time. It was fun to see how passionate the fans were, especially for the Polish fighters. Also, we enjoyed the food court, the beer was cold and the staff was friendly and helpful. I go to Sox games too and kind of knew to expect that but it exceeded my expectations. Overall we had a good time.

ESPN Friday Night Fights...come on man!!!!!!!!!

by LifebyLee on 8/19/13U.S. Cellular Field - Chicago

As an avid boxing fan, I can't begin to describe how excited I was for Big Time boxing to return to the Windy City. But this was a bomb in every sense of the word! Bad: While our tickets indicated 6:00pm start the actually boxing didn't begin to 7pm. When it did start it was (2) female boxers with dazzling 0-0 and 1-0 records. After that beauty of a fight the next match up featured a 2-3 fighter and 5-3 fighter. Is this how you lead off a big time card...really!?!?!? After that there was an almost hour delay waiting for the main events fights. After 3hrs of sitting in the stadium, I had (2) horrible fights to show for it. Good: The polish fans! Wow did they bring it. The crowd was electric and gave the event the feeling of a big time soccer match. Wish the entire card had the same intensity and drama.

    From above

by H33j33rs on 8/19/13U.S. Cellular Field - Chicago

Was skeptical of the Cell as a venue for boxing, but the vertical construction of the seats actually made it easier to follow the action, looking down on the ring from (pretty far) above. Great crowd, great fights, great night.
